Rikudou (Hace 8 meses) #30960685Sadly it's not the first time they've had mixups with new and old figures, seen people report it quite frequently actually :/

It actually happens very, very rarely compared to the thousands of satsifying orders we fulfill throughout the year.
But of course, unhappy customers will be more eager to post their disappointing experience online. Which is totally understandable.

What you can always count on though is that we will NEVER ignore a complaint made to our customer service and we will ALWAYS work out a solution with you.

If there is anything not satisfying about your order, just shoot us a message and we will usually get back to you within 24 hours on a weekday.

I made 4 purchases, between $190-310 usd each. The dates were 01/25 then 26, 27 and 28. I received an email for each individual order, stating that it was delayed, so it couldn't be shipped yet.

Is there some issue going on?

Has anyone ever bought point cards from them? How well did it work? I can't use my credit card on jp iTunes so I'd need to get jp cards from somewhere but I dunno if they're the best solution for it?

    Hi Butcher,

I hope you have received your orders by now and are happy with them. :)
We had a short period of logistical delays in late January. It rarely, but sometimes happens and we are sorry for that.

The delay emails are sent out automatically, if the processing time exceeds three days. Sometimes there can also be a weekend between it. They usually do not mean anything to worry about. Should there ever be a serious issue with your order, you can always rely on us contacting you directly about it. :)

We do have some of the best prices online for japanese pre-paid cards and you get the code within about 24 hours.
Orders placed during the week, usually get processed the quickest.

If you have any other questions, please let us know. :)

When Solaris Japan ship your stuff, do they only include "Friendly invoice" in the package or they put original invoice as well?

My item is currently being held by Malaysian custom, I need access to both the original and friendly invoice of my order but I cannot retrieve it from My Account.

The error says "We're sorry, but something went wrong. If you are the application owner check the logs for more information."

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your order. :)

There will always only be one invoice included with every order.
So if you chose the "friendly invoice" it will be the only one included.

We apologize for the technical issue with accessing the copy of your invoice.
Please email our support at support(at)solarisjapan.com and we will email it to you.

If you have any other questions, please let us know. :)

The worst experience ever with a Japanese online shop and I'm not a begginer.

I order a lot since years with a lot of shop like plamoya, mandarake, nippon yassan, play-asia, ebay... I'm really an experienced buyer.

What I can say about Solaris? Stay away from them!

-15 days to send an order.
    -Errors with the shipping method.
-They use only SAL for regular invoice, but SAL is suspended since months in Europe but they don't know that apparently...

After 10 mails with the customer service I realized they don't know shit about international shipping.

In the same time they need to send my order, Nippon Yassan and Plamoya had already delivered me (I ordered the same day with the same shipping method).

The customer service is friendly but they are very slow to manage your order and most of all, they are totally incompetent in matter of shipping.

Stay away from them if you don't order with the Express shipping method (But custom fee 100% guaranted). You are warned.

I can only speak to my experience with them as a US-based customer, which I realize does not have the same problems with SAL, but I've ordered from Solaris a couple times now with no issues. On my most recent order I used standard shipping instead of express for my most recent order, requested photos before shipment, and even though it was a fairly small order (5k-ish yen), they took very thorough photos and the turnaround between ordering on a Saturday and shipment was only four days total.

Sorry you've having such a hard time with them, but just wanted to chime in with my own experience since I personally would recommend Solaris (at least to anyone in the US), if the item is a good price (which was the case for me, I found my figure a good 1-2k cheaper on Solaris than on Mandarake or Amiami preowned). Hope your problems get resolved!

I'm sorry too to hear about your poor experience. I've only ordered from Solaris twice, once using EMS and once unregistered Sal (not sure if they offer that to all countries, but there is no reg sal where I am), and both times everything went smoothly. I do wish they would expand the shipping options they offer - the only options I can choose from with them is EMS, unregistered Sal or seamail - no airmail, no sal parcel etc. - so often because of that I will try to find what I want on Amiami's preowned section but I was happy with Solaris both times I bought from them.

Has anyone bought from Solaris using a debit card before? I purchased something yesterday and they deducted my money and order was placed, but the charge disappeared and the money was returned to my account. The order is still active as “paid” but the money is still in my account. There’s also no refund transaction, everything just vanished lol

Anyone know if this is a norm for them? And the charge will eventually reappear?

    Hi,
I would like to know if has someone used DHL for the shipping ? And if the prices are extremely different from EMS.

I've had a lot of trouble with my national Post service (Swiss post really s*cks!!) and I'm looking to use DHL for my next orders because I've always had a very good experience with them.

    Thanks in advance :)

Generally DHL is more expensive, although the difference can differts a lot from country to country.

The best you can do is ask Solaris Japan directly about the shipping rates using DHL. Other option could be try HLJ website, add one similar item to the cart, there you can see the shipping rates, of course is a different website so the shipping rates won't be exactly the same, but maybe it'll help you.

    Thank you so much!
I've tried what you suggested and unfortunately, as you said, DHL is very expensive. But they propose good prices for FedEx, the thing is I've never used FedEx for shipping, I don't know if they're good company.

    Glad I can help.

Maybe you can find in google some opinions about how is Fedex in your country, I have used Fedex in the past and never had a problem with them, but like I said before, it can vary from country to country.

I've ordered two used figures from them and it went smoothly.
But now I don't really know what to think of them....
I ordered their lady maria prime 1 studio figure inclusive shipping via expres which cost me quite a fortune already.
Another few minutes later I got a mail saying I had to give them a copy of my credit card to 'identify' myself. I send them an e-mail saying I of course wouldn't do this due to this being risky...Got a reply from Catrin saying it was alright, I did not have to give them information I did not feel comfortable with.
Few days later I got a mail saying they couldn't ship it on time.
Another few days later I got another mail that 'needed attention' saying my statue is too big that it can't be delivered via Japan Post and needs to be shipped via another delivery company via Germany for an additional 15500 Yen....I asked them again if I needed to pay import fees or anything but they said that if I do this I will not have to pay any import fees.
Like, is this normal? I already contacted them saying I already paid quite a bit for the shipping (which was like...20000 Yen?) and now I have to pay another 15500 Yen because the statue is too big? Also, this was not stated on their website when I ordered lady maria from them (After I bought her it suddenly said on the product page; ''Due to the size of this figure additional Shipping Costs and/or a change of the Shipping Method might become necessary'')

Does anyone else have this experience as well?
I don't know what to think of this and I also asked if I wouldn't pay this fee if the order would get cancelled and if it was cancelled if I would get my money back. If I was to cancel it they could offer a refund in the form of a gift card...? I mean...no I don't want the smal fortune I paid back in store credit :/...

some advice would be really nice : ( (to be honest I'm kinda stressing about this and to be honest it is kinda ruining my vacation..)

I am sorry to hear you feel uneasy about your latest order. :(
It seems like a couple of unfortunate coincidences came together.

First of all the ID request is an automated email, which is sent out when our internal security systems finds irregularities. Sometimes it is triggered by differences in billing and shipping addresses, VPN or foreign IPs, or by several unsuccessful payment attempts. In any case, you do not have to worry about providing your credentials, as we never request sensitive data, such as full credit card numbers or entire IDs and delete everything after the verification process.

The shipping delay in your case was unfortunately caused by the size/weight issue. It is a rare occurrence, but when it happens we have to contact you about it. This is why we also have a note regarding the issue on our FAQ page: solarisjapan.co...

As Catrin has suggested, the shipping would be handled by a logistics partner within the EU and therefore there would be no import fees for your order.

If you have any further questions, please keep in touch with Catrin and again sorry for worrying you. Please rest assured that we will work out a satisfying solution with you. :)

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your order. :)

This is actually something credit card companies do quite often and we find it just as confusing as you. However your charge will eventually reappear.
