“Thank you very much for your order!
We have received a payment on our website from your credit card: however, in order to protect the security of this transaction and as instructed by our bank, we need to confirm that this order & payment is legitimate.
In order to do so and validate your order quickly, please confirm that this order is indeed legitimate, and please email us as soon as possible the following documents:
1/ a selfie on which we can see your face and your ID card in your hand (passport or drivers license will do too).
    And
2/ a proof of residence at the same address - gas/electricity bill will do for instance.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience! This is only for verification purposes, and meant to protect you from fraudulent use of your payment method. Please rest assured that your personal details will not be shared with any third-party, and that our privacy policy is extremely strict!”
this obviously makes me uncomfortable as I’ve never had to provide this sort of information... for like any website I’ve purchased from. I’ve only given this sort of info to like... Paypal and a trusted proxy site. this is my first nin nin order, and I couldn’t help myself because they had a figure I really wanted for the cheapest I’ve seen it, so I really want it to be legit but I’m just not sure how I feel about this.
    would love some advice!

I have never had that kind of request from any store I've purchased online, big or small. Not even when I've used a credit card which is very uncommon for me. I've heard of scammers asking for a picture of your passport and such but never from a store. I'm not saying that they're trying do something "strange and creepy" with that info though but If I had gotten that email I'd be quite taken aback.

I guess you already have done this, but did you double check the sender of that email? I'd open a ticket to ask them about the email and for more info.

Aoi-sanHace 2 meses#80345843Hahah, this is unbelievable. As someone who actually did try to defend them a bit due to the corona situation, now they pick the "stealing" part I was mentioning completely out of context (I never said they steal, i said it would be stealing if money is just being taken without delivery), in a not very professional way. No voucher mentioned? Can imagine that now yeah. But evil me only considering stealing in a situation like that. My positive review got tossed aside as well it seems? Thanks, changed my mind, not gonna order there again.

    Hi Aoi-san!

Thank you for your comment! I should have mentioned we are very honoured by your trust and we thank you very much for your kind words and positive review. Our message was not directed at you at all! On the contrary your positive review is very encouraging and that is what we strive for.

Anyway, we are very sorry if it came out a bit off. Always difficult to communicate clearly over the internet, especially online forums / Reddit etc.
But we'll do our best to improve!

And we do take all your comments into account.

    Thanks again,
    The Nin-Nin Team

    Hi Minhakos!

Thank you very much for your order!

Indeed, we do send this request occasionally in the case of 1st-time customers, when the order is above a certain amount, is using a credit card, and when our anti-fraud system flags an order. Basically it filters orders and advises us to verify further that the customer is really who he says he is. It is an automatic scoring system. Most fraudulent orders are rejected automatically, but some of them are borderline and in that case, we require some more information. Probably yours was also flagged for some reason.

Some context: Identity theft is on the rise and impersonators use stolen credit card info to pass international orders on websites. We tried to disable our anti-fraud system for a week earlier this year, because we thought maybe it was too strict: the result was immediate and we suffered several thousands of USD of losses from orders that appeared to be perfectly normal after human inspection. Online fraudsters have gotten very good at their craft, and the only way to detect them was to re-activate the system and ask for clarification when it told us to.

Just to reassure you: we don’t ask personal information for fun, and we don’t ask personal information to store it, or to use it in any other way. The only single way we use this information is to filter legitimate orders, from fraudulent ones.
As you mentioned in your message, PayPal proceeds the same way as well as your trusted proxy site, and most of the online shopping sites selling internationally.

However, we understand that you could feel uneasy sharing personal information over the internet, in that case the best solution would be to use PayPal instead. (They have their own credit card scoring system and will probably ask you for the same info though if you are a 1st-time Paypal user)

I hope that helps! Please do contact our customer service with your order reference for any follow-up request on that matter.
And thank you very much! We’ll do our best to be in your circle of trusted vendors!

The message also appears under my order info on their website, so it is legit. It just doesn’t make sense to me, even with the reply they sent to me on here? because I did pay with PayPal... I guess I will try following up with them about it through the website.

    They replied?

Well I'm still waiting for proof that I'm receiving the figure from 2016 and not the newer one, as they claim.

Same thing for the document to justify your adress, just hide part of it in order nobody can use it later in a bad way.

    Hello Nin-Nin Game,

    I have a question about www.nin-nin-gam...

I would very much like to own this figure. Better yet, I NEED this figure. However, it's fragile as heck and a long way apart from my living location (The Netherlands). I've also not purchased anything from you up until now, so it would be my first purchase.

Sorry to kick it off with such an extremely difficult case right off the bat, but of course the goal here is for her to arrive in perfect condition. And if she does happen to not survive the journey from you to me in some way, then it would be nice to have proper insurance so that I can basically try again until a fated copy of her glorious sculpt does arrive safely lol. But really I don't want that to happen even once, because seeing her damaged or even shattered would shatter my heart as well. Yeah, it's that serious.

So what can you tell me about the insurance options on this figure? & Would you be willing to package it with something like foam + bubblewrap / plastic cushions all around the figure's box to raise the chances of undamaged arrival? & stuff like taping "INSANELY FRAGILE" all over the shipping box xD?

Shops are actually shunning this figure because of past experiences with PVC-L Insight figures so I'm hoping that you have some kind of failproof plan specifically for their products, PLEASE let this be the case *fingers crossed*.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Just wanna let you guys know that my order still hasn't shipped. I sent a PM to the person from NinNinGame, no reply yet. I'm starting to get super tired of waiting for my package. I'm going on vacation soon. The order was supposed to arrive 3-4 days after ordering, according to the order page. And it's been 4 weeks.

Sent a ticket too. No reply to either one. About to do a paypal chargeback.

    Update: They said this
    https://i.imgur.com/lzKyAvP.jpg

To be honest I'm not even believing them anymore. It's their last chance though.

Update: It's Friday again. Nothing has shipped. Agent hasn't replied. My ticket was closed again. I just opened a paypal dispute.

Update: They did not reply to the dispute after 6 days so I had it escalated to a claim. I received a full refund today. I'm glad about that. However, NinNinGame tried in no way to fix the situation, apologize or ship the item. They did also not try to contact me or even respond in any way, I guess they just don't care.

Well for me the topic is done and I'm not ordering there again.

Bought from Nin nin game and the package for my megumin nendoroid came in damaged and dented and the plastic holder is like melted when unboxing it.

you think you buy something new and so expensive you expect it to be in mint condition but once it arrive was already damage prior to shipping, as the parcel box itself wasn't damage.

Customer service is like not very helpful nor do they care at all

Just saw them post an ad for a figure in stock 10 minutes ago and it's out of stock. On their page, a lot of people are complaining about this tactic. What is the deal? There is no way they sold out of a figure released in 2011 in 10 minutes of having posted on that figure's comments section.

They claim it is some sort of technical issue which they are trying to fix. Not sure if that is true, i don´t know their internal systems. Must mean, these ads are automated, otherwise that would be a bad move to lure new customers to their site.

    Look here:Nin-Nin-GameHace 2 meses#80176037Hi Jenthehen,
Yes, that's mostly a technical problem.
Our backend is pretty old and sometimes it's hard to use. Rather than "LYING!!!" it's mostly due to some figures sometimes updating even though stock is at zero. It's technical. Sorry about that. We'll do our best to fix it. And, restock said figure. It might not be at the original price if it's an old and discontinued item of course. And we can't restcok every item in the world, for sure. But, we'll do our best! I'm sure you understand. And thanks for the comment! Very helpful!

I've been selling a few things I like to check out other stores to see their prices, almost every time I clicked on an ad (day old at most), it was out of stock or just "coming soon".

They're not the most honest store in my experience. First and only order I placed from them was for a figure that had recently exploded in price ain a lot of places and I wanted to buy it somewhere that still had a decent price. Found one and bought it from Nin-Nin. Then a few days later they say they can't fulfil my order because it is "out of stock". They refunded me, which was good. Lost a little due to conversion changes, but whatever. But the next day I check up on it and the figure was back on sale for like twice the price lol. That sort of thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth and is shady imo.

Can someone explain to me how Nin Nin Game's Amazon shipping works?

I'm orientating on what the best option for me is to preorder that Type-moon Racing Nero/Tamamo figure by Stronger. NNG has their "Amazon France shipping" method which states 100% no customs so I'm assuming you have to prepay VAT or something. Only the cost that is stated is ¥4,930 for this figure, which doesn't even cover 20% VAT (which at minimum is 20% of 35490 = 7098 yen). How does this work? Do you pay more VAT at the second charge? What is the actual cost of shipping without the VAT?

Also I think NNG is grossly underestimating the shipping cost of this item. ¥1,990 for "Eco registered" (which I assume is equivalent to SAL)? No fucking way. There's absolutely no way the cheapest shipping option (besides surface) will be less than 5000 yen for a duo 1/7 figure of these dimensions. Probably even more.

Can´t explain since i am trying them for the first time, too, but this is what i get:
I have three preorders with them, all via pay later and personal warehouse. When they ship i want to use the amazon method, too.
    My shopping cart says this:

First figure for 9.398yen. With Amazon it would costs me additional 4.320yen. 1880yen VAT and about 2440 for the shipping itself.

Another order with two figures for a total of 20.800yen. Amazon shipping for this order 6.750yen, so 4.160 VAT and 2.590yen remaining for the shipping itself.

Last order for 15.140yen, Amazon shipping for 4.930yen, so 3.028yen VAT and 1.902yen for the shipping

If you ask me, the shipping for your order must be a mistake. It should be at about 9k to 10k yen imo. I suppose they will change that later.

I made an order on Nin-Nin-Game at the beginning of July and didn't check this thread until after so I got a little worried about whether or not I would actually get my order. The item's release date was the end of July. I didn't get a shipping e-mail so my worries increased and when I checked the store page for the item it had changed to the end of August.

Thankfully, I just got an e-mail confirming that my order has been shipped. So now all I need to worry about is whether it'll actually get here.

I probably still won't order from them again after this because of all the negative experiences people here have had.
