    I had a long chain of emails with them last week and I've just sent another message about an order I apparently forgot to recombine, pending a reply on that since I sent it after they closed.

    What was it in regards to? They mentioned they have a little bit of a backlog with orders.

    That’s really odd then, I’ve never had an issue with them responding before but who knows. They actually got back to me right after I posted that (maybe I should’ve posted that sooner orz) but they did tell me they are very behind on basically everything so I guess my messages just got lost/overlooked.

They actually got back to me right after I posted that (maybe I should’ve posted that sooner orz) but they did tell me they are very behind on basically everything so I guess my messages just got lost/overlooked.

    Yeah I’m planning to wait a couple days before messaging them again since the last figure for the other order comes out on the deadline for this one. Then I have to make sure the shipping method is good to go. orz I feel really bad for them. Because they are so backlogged.

    Something I've noticed for a while that I've never seen mentioned in the form...

    When you inquire about an order you have a few options for the category:

    Product Related
    Shipping Related
    Payment Related
    Other Inquires

    There have been occasions where my inquires hasn't fit in the first three categories so I've used other. The very first time I used "Other Inquires" about a year or two ago I never got a reply and ended up leaving it be and paying for the order. The second time I was a little weirded out as any other category I selected I got a reply basically the next day. Even when I've just emailed their general support email from their FAQ I would get a pretty fast reply.

    So I began to experiment. If I needed help with something that had nothing to do with the first three categories I would send two inquires over a few days as "Other". Then when failed to get a reply I would select the closest from the first three and send a message with the same request and get a reply either that same day or the next.

    The same thing just happened. I had an order that I guess I failed to combine to my other May order and got a payment request [due 5/26/2020] for it. Since it was a bunch of stickers and a clear file I really wanted it combined with my figure order to save on shipping. I sent this under Other Inquires since it doesn't really fit the other categories and I sent the first one when I got the payment request on 5/20/2020 while they were still open. Then I sent the second one on 5/22/2020 using Other Inquires as well, trying to tell myself that maybe they were just a bit behind with COVID-19 and that they weren't still ignoring the Other Inquires.

    Well, still no reply. I've just sent another inquiry using the "Payment Related" option 5/25/2020 around 10:30 PM CST [about 12:30PM their time] and I'm still pending a reply as of writing this. I'll update when / if I get a reply.

    If they don't reply I don't really have a problem not paying for it since it is just a bunch of stickers and nothing huge. But I do expect this time I'll get a reply from them since this usually happens.

    Has anyone ever gotten a reply using "Other Inquires"? Because I have never gotten a reply using this particular form.

    Is there any way to change the payment method for an order? I am once again still awaiting a reply from them and now my order has went into overdue payment and I can’t get in contact with them. I’ve sent three messages within this past week since I got the invoice and haven’t gotten a reply back. I just need to change from PP to CC. They seem to randomly be replying to messages in no set order at this point.

    I sent a second email a few hours after they opened 5/29/2020 and got the corrected invoice. They apologized that the link didn’t work before. But I’m starting to get annoyed with the slow replies. They used to be so good. :< Hopefully when the pandemic ends their customer support goes back to normal.

    I had myself a problem with them about a ems parcel witch was send back to hobby seach by the french post without me knowing about it .
    It has been 15 day that i send them email every 3 day without any respond of them at all.
    I could understand they are overbooked but they could respond to urgent problem

    I can confirm that currently, HobbySearch is really slow when it comes to anything that needs even a bit of complex operation.

    I had several orders with them at the end of last month: all the ones that had to be fully paid went through quickly and without a hitch.

    But for ITEM #740277 , on which I want to use my full stash of 19000 HobbySearch points (meaning I only have to pay the remaining 1700 yen from the initial price of 20700 yen + EMS shipping fees), it seems they have trouble proceeding my order, it's been stuck at "Preparing order" status ever since her release on May 20th, i.e. a full three weeks ago.

    I've sent them an inquiry yesterday so they have a look at it and finally proceed the order, but I haven't gotten an answer yet.

    I just hope they won't come back to me and say "we're sorry, we actually no longer have her in stock, we'll have to cancel your order": I'd be very miffed, given that I've preordered Erza on day 1 last year, and given that now her aftermarket price is soaring.

    They aren’t shipping EMS to most countries because of the restrictions from COVID. They usually send an email each month explaining this and to pick a different option. I think for me (US) I can only select the Surface options. Otherwise you’ll have to wait until EMS is available again with JapanPost.

    Please have a quick glance at my profile (especially the blog section), you'll notice that: 1) I made most of the blogs regarding the JP Post problems so I am aware of the shipping situation, and 2) I'm neither a US resident nor I live in a country affected by the EMS stoppage.
    So this is really HobbySearch currently having problems handling more complicated payment and shipment matters.

    Update on my case:

    On Tuesday 16th, my account had been updated with the points deduced, the order paid and in "Preparing for shipment" mode. Erza then has been posted on Friday 19th, and quickly left Japanese soil the day after.

    They haven't replied to my message as they usually do though, I only got the automated messages telling me that my order has been shipped.
    But it was worth messaging them. Looks like they still do read messages, but are so understaffed and drowned into work they don't have enough time replying to them.
    Well, since my order has been processed, I understand. I really hope for them to soon come back to a more normal situation.
