Snatched her for 7,000 yen off Mandarake! Gotta look at the Japanese site for her since they don’t put up everything on their international site.

Demigod_DanHace 9 meses#68477532? Pulchra's Yumi is $433 new on Plamoya right now. I said that if a figure is generally sold out, the price tends to get closer to what Plamoya charges or even surpass it if Plamoya sells out. Good luck finding a Pulchra Yumi on ANY selling platform for 2x or 3x less than that $433 when it's the Japanese themselves who are the main buyer group of these aftermarket prices lol (yes, people are actually paying ~$400 for this fig right now, anything much lower than that = an exception to the "going price").
I don't follow this particular Pulchra's Yumi and I am sure there exceptions but it is dangerous to extrapolate based on one example. Based on my experience collecting more than 1600 figures over the last six years, many of which are very rare, I have always found what I want at much much lower prices that what Plamoya is listing, regardless of whether this is a new or old release and regardless of whether they are sold out everywhere. With a bit of patience almost all of them eventually showed up at lower prices somewhere. Of course, for those who are impatient and got plenty of cash to burn, Plamoya is definitely the perfect place as they have some rare figures at crazy prices. Plamoya and some Amazon sellers target ignorant beginners and people who cannot wait and will pay anything just to get it now. Low volume and high margins. Others sell higher volumes at lower margins. Both strategies are profitable. Personally I saved a lot of money by waiting it out, which is why I have 1600+ figures instead of 800+. Time (waiting) is literally money (more figures).

loveanimeHace 9 meses#68465589Certainly not "every" platform. But hey, if you are happy to spend 2x or 3x Japanese market price, then just continue shopping on the likes of Plamoya. After all, you are spending your money, not my money ;-)

loveanimehace 2 años#36966802Sites like Playmoya are not a good reflection of prices for sold out figures. Typically it is the Japanese market price times two, three, and often more.

loveanimehace 2 años#37238358I agree except that it is true in most of the cases, not just in some of the cases. In virtually all cases I did not have to wait very long to find "non-available" figures for a fraction of the price. Even Pulchra's Mio (which I am skipping): order.mandarake... at 7000 JPY only (available in two stores!) today July 11th, 2018 while 22,251 JPY on plamoya.com/en/..., more than three times the price. Q.E.D.

Sold out right in front of my eyes!
