AmiAmi finally sent a discontinuation notice. I guess other Griffon products did too. Finally, some sense of closure with this never ending saga.

Shadow-Link (Hace 3 meses) #36417391I received a cancellation from Nippon Yasan just now. According to them the maker has stated that the product will not be released. I'm sad :'(

Thanks for the update. As much as I'm also sad, it's a good thing we have a clear answer. As much as there is hate out there about Griffon, I kind of liked of few of their new figures and would have loved to see these projects come to life. It seems the never ending quest for a great Escalayer figure continue... I'm not that excited by the new Kaitendoh one ITEM #464861, somethings weird with her face.

sailormatlac (Hace 7 meses) #31507560I took a look on AmiAmi today and the Griffon products release date is now a generic "Spring 2018". I'm curious why it isn't alright cancelled... but I guess even distributors are left in the dark.

I don't care if it takes another year for this figure to be released, but I do agree that it does look pretty grim :(

Shadow-Link (Hace 8 meses) #31145461Is there any news regarding Griffon?
I can't wait for this figure to be released, but I'm getting more worried the longer it takes. :(

Nope. All Griffon's websites are down since a few months, with domain for sale. Sellers have been pushing release date again and again. If I were an optimist, I'd say it looks grim for the future.

Kaneel (Hace 8 meses) #30904525I've seen the issue with the grand-toys site.
Some japanese figure info blogs caught on it before new year, even griffon's site was down for a while ._.

Thanks for the news. It looks quite grim. I recall trying to access Grand Toys website before Christmas and it was already down. Are their other non-figure activities still running? I tried accessing their other websites, but none worked.

Kaneel (Hace 8 meses) #30905113Uh, where to start.
Some time in 2015 it was noticed that Griffon disappeared completly from events, there was no activity on their site anymore, no more updates and well people started to wonder what's up with them.
To a point where it was assumed they where dead.
Mind you, they started to drag things way before that with heaps of unfinished teaser and projects and whatnot.
Then suddenly they came back in summer 2016 with a new 3d gallery project for figures and on an event in december of that year they suddenly had big reveal of new figures and projects together with the brand/maker Grand Toys.
Of course people where sceptical, but on the other hand they often got license for series no one else did so it was a mixed bag.
Some of these new projects where released like the Highschool DxD Akeno and Grias, which from the comments and price surge after the 1st release did seem to fare well enough.
From their old figures which where up for pre-order before that, only about five managed to be released.
We got some cancelled figures like ITEM #190399 or ITEM #191491 but some are still in limbo as of speaking with people having pre-ordered them years ago by now like ITEM #167093 or ITEM #154590

Thanks for the explanation! Now I really hope that this figure will be released, but I fear it will be cancelled :(
