I think I'll call him Billy Legman. Todd McLegs. Leggy Kneeson. Longlegs O'malley.

1. SAL Parcel ripped me off on the shipping price which cost me £30 for the same speed as SAL Small Packet
2. They combined my shipping cost with the item cost on the front of the parcel so, since I live in the UK, customs hit me like a truck
If I could go back in time, I'd definitely buy from HobbySearch since they seem to be shipping in small packet. Also, I'm definitely using EMS for any large figures since I guess SAL Parcel combining prices may be a common issue.

I've had experiences in all types of shipping method at this rate (AmiAmi and other shops), even the Unregistered Small Packet though obviously only for that 1 instance where the package contained just a mug and a keychain. :P
Based on that, from what I've seen, SAL Parcel is most of the time cheaper than EMS. However there are instances that it's more than a fraction pricier, this is normal. SAL Parcel also is a LOT slower than RSAL or SAL-Small Packet, as much as 2-3 weeks additional transit time, this is true for all of my packages.
I haven't seen any combining of prices even for SAL Parcel with AmiAmi for me anyway (Like a hawk, I also watch out for the total of my monthly shipments since we have a 200 USD or equivalent worth before they flag for tax, over that and you're doomed), weird and sucks that the combined price happened to you.

Yeah I don't think I've ever seen AmiAmi offer Small Packet, the cheapest I think is RSAL or UnReg-SAL, HobbySearch does but I think AmiAmi is more flexible when actually choosing the shipping method. Hobbysearch let's you choose initially but they have the prerogative of changing it automatically to EMS without checking on you first (correct me if I'm wrong) XD

Izarapaw (Hace 1 mes) #30905514Nope, had to use SAL Parcel when I ordered him there...never again >.<
1. SAL Parcel ripped me off on the shipping price which cost me £30 for the same speed as SAL Small Packet and it also sat in customs for an extra week too when small packet would ship the day after it arrived
2. They combined my shipping cost with the item cost on the front of the parcel so, since I live in the UK, customs hit me like a truck and I had to pay the custom tax for an item worth £100 rather than £70

I think this answer may have become a bit of a vent for me xD sorry...

Ouch, that's sucks :/
Thanks for letting me know! He's out of stock at Hobby Search now but I still can grab him from NY.
