how i dealt with the back peg not fitting (transparent peg on the stand) was by scraping some material off it with a dull razor, then sanding it up a bit with a piece of 80 grit sandpaper. i just kept trying to fit it and scraping some more material off until it went in. i really didn't try to scrape a lot of material off, maybe the equivalent of a dash of salt was left on the table.
to install the back, install the head first, and nothing else yet. take the round peg that fits into miku's back off of the collapsible stand. it's detachable and it's way easier to push it into the back hole separately.
once the back peg is in you can attach all the rest of the accessories and finally attach it to the stand and put it into the base. be careful not to knock any of your accessories off, because you will.
i do wonder if these nendos have swollen a little over time or if the pegs were just manufactured just slightly off.

crazy to think she was released for about $30. nowadays she'd be at LEAST double the price, considering how many optional parts there are
