OnlyOnePieceHace 1 mes#97909562I thought this site did not cover these Chinese semi-bootleg statues???

Except this is officially licensed lol. Toei has licensed chinese companies to make official statues before and their quality is A+

Are you referring to the regional license?

alyHace 1 mes#97899731At least this one is still under 1000 USD. It may be a combination of licenses getting more expensive, inflation, and rising labor costs. Especially nowadays with Covid.

On top of that, look at the base. The material used for this figure does not only cover Nami but also the tree, chests and scroll. Older 1/4 figures usually were only characters standing on a simple disc. I see a lot of modern 1/4 which are posed very dynamic and come with all sorts of props attached to the main figure. I’m pretty sure the material costs for those extras need to be covered and are included in the price as well (let alone the sculpting skills to make bases like this)

ivory7777Hace 1 mes#97899553it looks like 1/4 size are getting expensive now. use to be 1/4 were around 400-600 now 700-900. 1/3 use to be 700-1000. now 1300-1500. i might have to end this hobby, getting too expensive for me. and not to mention the space issue.
for this one, i like the pink dress and bright colors on her hair. but the face is bit off and not sure what is going on with base and paint brush she is hold. though i have not gotten too far into the mango so no spoilers.
