You were kinder on the box than I would be - but then again mine fell apart. The card is really cheap, about the only thing I could say for it is it kept the figure fine during transit.
Wish they did better with the seams - you can angle the figure so they don't show, but yeah, the small boobs option looks derpy due to the not-great fit. Second to that, I wish they put a magnet in her body and one/a bit of metal in the penis. A few manufacturers use magnets for accessories now, and it would've been really nice if they went for the same system for this one.
I think this review hits on most of my feelings about this figure - was excited for this one, but I think the end result is kind of "eh". She looks good displayed on a shelf, but close inspection isn't kind to this figure tbh. I think without the cat ears and futanari part, there'd be less interest in this figure.
You make a lot of good points. Right now, there aren't a ton of Ban figures available, but with several sure to be great Ban figures on the horizon (the re-color of Dva ITEM #740315
, ITEM #676061
, ITEM #806264
, and others) it will be interesting to see how well this one holds up in the long run.
Totally agree on the magnetic parts. Figure companies have been doing this for more than a decade, so making the crotch shield and the futa part magnetic would have been a much better solution.
Your comment about the small chest makes me think of something I forgot to mention. The small chest part is very difficult to remove once it's in place. There's just not enough surface to grab on to.
The saving graces, though, are that the red outfit looks quite cool in person and they did a really good job of translating the design of her face into 3D. For the latter, they successfully kept the "hard" look of Ban's designs.
