  • ddarkoHace 1 mes#78220380I do feel that Air Canada should likely change that policy. It does feel quiet drastic to think of no international travel till December. Then again, these are unprecedented times.
The EMS option is still available to Canada. However, I think Amazon JP usually has a price much less than the regular EMS to ship here. They probably have a standard supply chain that allows them to do that. I presume that it got disrupted due to the shutting of regular air travel between countries. So now they probably use DHL. Although, there was this one time about a year ago that I had an order come in from Amazon JP using DHL for the regular AJP shipping price (arrived next day after I placed order too, which was quiet amazing). So there probably is a little bit of DHL jacking up their prices knowing they are in high demand now.
Yea, no kidding! Our parks are overflowing here. The mayor had to step in to stop people from being so reckless with the soft reopening. We even had a couple of spikes in our Covid cases, but people just don't seem to care anymore. I have heard some people say stuff like they would rather die than miss the summer events. But when you think about it, if they die now, they miss all the summer events in the upcoming years lol.
It makes sense about your sisters choice. I am sure it is not easy to reschedule a wedding. Your sister must be really sad about it for sure. Still, she can have a celebration later when things calm down. Was she refunded by the venues she booked to celebrate the wedding?
In regards to the job hunting, I did save up a bit when I worked before I started my doctorate to sort of use for some traveling and relaxing after I complete the degree. However, given the situation, it is very unlikely that we will be doing any travelling anyway haha. So I should be OK, hopefully, for a little while until I find a job. That is why I would ideally like to finish in December now, so that the economy would have had sometime to recover by then. Thank you for your kind wishes as well. I am sure whatever happens, it will work out for the best.
I still didn't get a chance to try the "quick dunk" because things were a bit busy over the weekend. I will hopefully get sometime this week to to do it. Thank you so much, yea, I have been hunting for the figure for quiet awhile. It is always around 35K-45K on Madarake, and the shipping is high because of the larger size. So I was super happy when I found her for that price. I will share some pics when I finally get her all cleaned up :)!
Oh, Alberta is one of the richest provinces in Canada. They are having bit of a tough time now because of the pipeline issue in Canada. There were even talks that Alberta might separate from Canada after the last election because of the tensions with the federal government. Definitely true about working in the US from what I hear. The visas can be a troublesome issue. The funny thing is, almost 80% of my undergraduate class moved to the US for work. The pay is very good, and the taxes are much less compared to what we pay in Canada. Still, Canada does feel like a better place to raise a family. Things can be quiet problematic in the US when things go wrong like a health emergency.
Now that you mention it, moving to Finland is indeed quiet far though within the EU. Is Finland colder than Netherlands, being up north?
Well, I presume you can easily transition the skills from cosplay to something like making clothing if you wanted to. Then you can avoid the glues and paints haha. Still, I must admit that the level of dedication, planing and skill required to complete these projects are quiet impressive.
Oh, haha yes it is a reference to the movie Donnie Darko! I liked the movie back in high school when I first saw it on TV, and the name stuck with me :) Where is the name Maakie from?

I seriously have no clue what to expect. Some people think it will partially solve itself, other people say nothing is safe until there is a vaccine... If the last group is right, there is no vaccine expected until 2021.

Ugh those kind of people are the reason I am probably not able to go on vacation on the end of the year and also not visit my sister her wedding in the autumn. >:( The people pushing for re-opening and/or going out without a care really only think about the 'now' and not about the future.

Well, right now she still has everything booked, hoping that the celebrations can still take place. It's only been a short while since the re-opening, so there are no clear numbers there yet.

Sounds good, looking forward to those pictures! :)

It is? For some reason I always thought it was Quebec area instead. Do you know of it is easier from someone from Canada to (temporarily) work in the USA than if you were from Europe/Asia?

Yes, the northern part of Europe is known for being the coldest parts. On the average day, the temperature here is 5-15 degrees lower than where I'm from. It was actually one of the reasons why I held back to moving here when we had an earlier chance ~6 years ago.

Well, making clothing is quite tedious. I've made some pieces for personal wear, but I find working on clothes alone a lot less fun than all the work on fake weapons, armor, wig styling and other things I can do when working on a full cosplay project. :) If I would retire from cosplaying, I would stick to mainly painting Garage and Model Kits from then on, I think.

Okay, long story. :P So, my parents gave me a hard-to-pronounce name which has basically haunted me since a young age. When I was about 10 years old I visited a zoo and they had a new animal type: ringed tail lemurs! I've never heard of them, and they were described to me as 'some kind of monkey'. As most of my monkey-related reference was chimpanzees and the like, I wasn't expecting to see these ADORABLE FURRY ANIMALS WITH LONG AND ELEGANT TAILS. It was love at first sight. I had never seen an animal like it before. Then in Dutch, lemur = maki. 'Maki' is a way my complicated name can be shortened to as well, so boom! From that day on I started demanding people to call me 'maki', haha! And it actually caught on as my real name is so complicated, everyone started preferring this (including family). Now, the reason for the misspelling...I was young and didn't realize I was spelling it wrong for 2 years! When I finally found out, I had been using 'Maakie' so much, that I just stuck to it, it also makes the name more unique while keeping the pronunciation the same. Nowadays I only use my real name if it's for some kind of official document and I really use Maakie as my first name.

MaakieHace 1 mes#78136252Oh wow, then Air Canada is even more extreme than what is planned for Finland! Although they are also expecting our opening of September to get delayed...
About your change in shipping costs: A lot of countries don't accept SAL or EMS anymore, so now your shipping will be FedEx, DHL or some other private carrier.
Yeah that's why even a forced summer quarantine is probably going to go bad, because people just want to be outside in the short good weather period we have in this country. :(
Well, even if no family can come, my sister is going to get married, she is not changing the date. So the difference will be if there will be any party/festivities or that it will only be a wedding at the city hall with social distancing between the 5 people there... My sister really looked forward to her dream wedding, so she is very sad about it.
Rules have been getting more lenient here too and I think they should be stricter again, because people in my area really don't care. I had to go to the pharmacy this week, which is in the middle of a busy shopping center, and people were leisurely clothes shopping again, sales people were back in the hallways... It's like people think that less restrictions means that everything is safe now.
Yeah the job market everywhere is a mess now, wouldn't want to be jobhunting. X_X If you don't mind me asking, if it takes longer for you to get a job, will you still be OK financially? Anyway, good luck in hopefully finishing in a decent time!
Well, that wasn't the case for us, we still had to be fast, because it was near impossible to sell the house while living in another country. We did the temporary place, because we needed time for the mortgage to get approved after me entering Finland. :)
I have started with the 'quick dunk in water' yesterday and the results are pretty good! But as you still make the dust wet, you need to use a towel to properly get everything off. At least it should improve your situation with the dust being stuck in the crease! Also, nice buy on ITEM #7900 ! She is super rare nowadays!
If he did get that job back then, it would have been in Alberta! :) And yes Canada or other options in the USA would have been a way bigger thing than what we did now, we would also make our lives a lot harder if we have moved anywhere outside of Europe, because at least now when we stay within Europe we have it easier by not requiring work VISA's, being able to open a bank account almost anywhere within EU and so on. Although it has also been pretty extreme for us, going from one side of Europe to the complete opposite one, it's still a bit weird to me we're in a neighboring country to Russia now!
And thank you for the kind words! :) Cosplay is definitely a very rewarding hobby and I'm looking forward to work on my next cosplay again. Although I do think of retiring in a while. The huge projects always take up so much space in my house, and combine that with using smelly glues and paints and so on! I also have a lot of other rewarding crafts hobbies, so I might focus on those instead in the future. :)
By the way, is your nickname a reference to the movie Donnie Darko?

ddarkoHace 1 mes#78091884That is so true about the loss of tourism income. The other one connected to it is probably the airlines. From what I hear, Air Canada is apparently not going to resume International flights till December. They have already said they will be laying off 20,000. Probably connected to that, I have noticed that the regular shipping costs from Amazon JP to Canada has skyrocketed. I could get a Prime 1 statue from Amazon JP (not that I would ever do that lol) for 1600 JPY shipping. But, now, it is like 30,000 JPY. So they are likely using an alternate carrier.
Woah, November is so far away! The entire Summer will be gone and it will be almost winter again. I think they might still readjust that so you might still be able to go on your vacation. Oh, I read later on that the vacation is actually your honeymoon. Hope they will reopen and you will get to go without any issues. Your sister must be quiet worried about potentially having to reschedule the wedding then too?
We have finally had a partial reopening of sorts now. The school re-openings have been postponed to September, and most of the companies are still having their employers work from home. But, travel and such within the country seems to be allowed. Our past weekend was a long weekend, and restriction of trips to cottage country were lifted for it too. I recently did see some news about not continuing with the reopening further because the infection rates are still risky. Overall, there is a sense that even the authorities are not sure when things will happen.
In regards to my graduation, I am actually studying for my doctorate, so I only had 4 courses to complete. I did complete those sometime ago, and all my degree milestones are complete except for the final thesis and defense. The problem for me is that in order to tie all my research work together, there is one final experiment I need to complete. I was working on setting up all the equipment when the lock-down came into effect lol. What timing, right? So now I have to wait for labs to reopen, finish the setting up, and then it can take about a month to finish up the tests. Of course, then I have to do the analysis, connect everything together, and finish the thesis, defend, etc. So I think it will definitely not be this term. Hopefully, I can finish by around December though. Of course, the job market here in Canada makes me feel a bit relieved that I am not finishing in the summer though haha.
That makes sense about moving to a temporary place first. In a way, it probably frees you of the pressure to quickly sell your old home, and also gives you the chance to wait for the right moment in the real estate market to buy the new one. You guys must be quiet happy to finally settle down again now in a place of your own. I definitely know what you mean about the home feeling and own mugs/cups. Whenever I go on longer vacation, that is the feeling I get when I get back home :)!
I like your 'quick dunk in the water' idea to clean the figures. I have this older Yoko figure I got recently, this one ITEM #7900 (was hunting for it for a long time, and finally got her for 19K JPY in total with the shipping). But, I noticed that there is a thin layer of dust in her hair that does not seem to go away with just my brushes. So I think I will try your approach.
Oooh, you guys were thinking of moving to Canada? That would have been a great choice, though I am biased haha :D Which province were you considering? Although, I can see how it might not be the most preferred since flying back to the Netherlands from Canada to visit family and friends would be quiet expensive. I think you and your husband made the right choice by passing on the "cool" option. At the end of the day, a job is a means to and end. If you can have a nice work-life balance, a decent place to call your home, that I think is the most important thing.
Before I forget, I never realized you were into cosplay till I saw your recent article. That was some really impressive work! :) I couldn't even imagine the amount of detailing that you put into it. You are very talented!

    MaakieHace 1 mes#77962251Hello!
In the case of the Netherlands it's not that the whole economy relied on it, but certain businesses certainly do, like the theme parks, outdoor swimming pools, camping sites (a lot of Dutch people stay within their own country to go on holiday). There are some other countries having a very rough time regarding tourism though, mainly Spain and Italy of which a big part of their economy is dependent on people coming over for summer vacation to visit famous buildings/cities.
At this point the Finnish government expects countries that are opening up to soon have their second relapse and it seems like we are going to be closed so we don't get the second relapse ourselves or get people from other countries in here suffering the relapse. This means that new estimations are beginning to become 'opening in November' rather than August, which would certainly suck with my plans (sisters' wedding in September and own planned vacation in October), but let's see if anything is still possible in 2020... *sigh* I don't know how it is for you, but for me it feels like a very wasted year...everything I wanted to do is cancelled: exploring the new area I live in, starting with language classes and the list can go on...
Huh interesting, it seems that Finland is now getting closer to the original idea for Canada while Canada may switch to opening sooner. And yikes, is there a possibility for you to graduate at all from home or in a more private/secluded location to do your finals?
Yes, we had this phase in which we needed to move in a temporary apartment before we were able to get anything new on the market here. And as it was a furbished and temporary apartment, all of our personal items have been stored for a long time. So only since this move we can reach our personal items again (which really adds to feeling at home somewhere to be using your own mugs and cups again).
You have to be super careful when you 'bathe' figures and I recommend to only do it if they got super dirty. I have heard of collectors on here giving them a yearly bath and figures turning out fine. I think more recent figures are more safe as well, I did have older figures of which the paint started to flake after long water exposure. My idea was to just shortly 'dunk' figures in a bath and dry them asap. Then air for at least a day before putting them in detolfs. As for regular cleaning, a makeup brush for me and general dust cloths for bigger areas.
I have no clue how furniture sales would be here, but I assume the industry got a big hit over here so no sales anytime soon.
For me personally I already think that engagement party, wedding party and homecoming party is a big bunch of festivities together LOL. Our wedding, we did almost 5 years ago and was only the actual wedding part, of which the late honeymoon is the vacation that is planned for October...
Hehe, I'm glad to hear that and not have people start talking about weed and Amsterdam right away! :P We moved to Finland because there is way more work opportunity in our industry here. In the Netherlands there was not much growth opportunity, next to us having to move to a more expensive area on the other side of the country. We weren't really interested in that (slaving away for low wages, with expensive housing just so you can say you work in a 'cool company'), so we took this international opportunity. :) Funny story: At one point with my husband his jobhunting it seemed like we might would have moved to Canada!
Yeah, same for us as well. Only seeing them once, sometimes twice a year is a low amount and now we are skipping more than a full year of seeing them for sure, but what can you do...

ddarkoHace 2 meses#77936386I can certainly understand how it might be a tougher decision if the economy relied on summer income. If they miss the window, they cannot just recuperate it in the fall or winter. That is tough! But, as you put it, it feels like an unfair gamble considering it is between money and safety. I would prefer safety since no money doesn’t immediately kill a person. But, getting a disease can be the end of it. That being said, I am sure the politicians are probably worried that people won’t think like that when the going actually gets tough. They are more likely to just vote them out seeking relief.
Canada probably won’t remain closed till 2021. Our economy is tanking pretty badly at the moment (and even before Covid because of the crude oil crisis). To be honest, it is not very clear what is happening in Canada anymore. At one point, it seemed set that they were reopening this week in Ontario, the province where I live. But, that hasn’t really happened and now I have seen talks of a first phase of reopening happening “soon” etc. Personally, I was hoping to defend and graduate this summer after completing some of my experiments lol. But, I am not sure how that will workout given that all our labs at the Universities are now closed too. But, given how bad the job market will be in the fall, I cannot complain :)
Oh, so you first moved your stuff to a storage locker, and then to the new home? That makes a lot of sense. I am always scared when it comes to cleaning figures. I have this dread that I will be washing it, and then when I turn the figure around, all the paint, eyes and stuff would be gone lol. Because of that, my cleaning has mostly been with a paint brush kit I got. I try to clean them up individually every couple of months. I also tried to “dust proof” the Detolfs, but, it is not 100% effective. What do you use for cleaning?
Yea, best to wait till you can go for shopping. It can be fun trying to find furniture. Don’t know if it is the same in Finland, but usually there are sales around June for furniture here in Canada, and there tends to be some good deals.
Woah, a full week wedding party!!! That must be awesome (and exhausting). Our weddings tend to just be three parties max, and that’s usually the engagement party, wedding party, and then the homecoming party. That feels like quiet a lot sometimes because those are with so many guests and you have to dress up.
Oh, when someone says Netherlands, the first thing that pops to mind is the soccer team :D They had such a great team in the World Cup before the last. What made you guys decide to move to Finland? Definitely good choice with delaying the visit. It is so easy to catch the virus when you are travelling to get there, and parents are at the age where they are in the most vulnerable group. I am sure they miss you though.

MaakieHace 2 meses#77837815I've heard some others about the notification issue, I didn't get it myself, but at least the website seems back on track now.
Unfortunately in my home country everything is open again and they seem to be rushing to make it possible for events to happen in the summer again. It would be a huge economical blow if everyone also has to stay indoors over summer, so it seems like they chose money over safety. It's weird to see how they entered later and left quarantine earlier than the country I am in now. :S I was supposed to visit the Netherlands in September, but I am pretty sure it's not possible now. Anyway, government over here has asked for companies to stay closed for full July as well. So as long as things over here continue like they are now, I should be working in a normal office again in August, which seems like a reasonable time. Is the plan for Canada to still stay closed until 2021? ^^''
Yeah same here, we have a lot of bored kids hanging in playground and bored teens hanging around in the mall. They seem like the main group to get it and bring it home to their families...but as long as parents don't look after their children, well yeah, what can you do...
Same here, it's been almost a month since we got here and the unpacking is for sure going to be a many months process. We have almost finished setting up our living room, then a bit more work in the bedroom and then finally I can start setting up the detolfs. :) And then the figures themselves will take many months more LOL. Especially because I also want to properly clean them all. Everything from our storage locker was more dirty than expected so I want to cleanse everything well.
We moved 75% of our furniture and still need to buy a few new things. But none of it is essential and we really like to see/try out furniture in person so I think we are going to wait until everything is opened again (August I guess? :P ).
Ah I see! I know in some cultures certain holidays or events can really mean a week or more off. Just yesterday had a Mexican coworker telling me about how a wedding is a full week of partying for them, haha!
Hehe yeah and for me my birthday is also soon, so for both of us these are birthdays we are not forgetting ever. :P Basically I did not expect to see a pandemic in my lifetime, because things seemed to be going pretty well in the world in general.
Our home country is the Netherlands and our plan normally was to visit once a year, but yeaaaahh probably not for 2020. Maybe spring or autumn 2021 for the next try! It's sad to not see our family, but we also don't want to bring them into unnecessary risk (especially with my parents being older).

I can certainly understand how it might be a tougher decision if the economy relied on summer income.

I am sure they miss you though.

ddarkoHace 2 meses#77815983I think it was. At one point, I also lost all of my notifications. I was raking my brain over whether I had accidentally clicked the mark all as read. But, then they all came back after a couple of days too. So the site was acting a little wonky I think. The new update probably fixed things hopefully :)
Although there was talk about re-opening, it seems to be going very slow. So far, there are only very few businesses given the OK to reopen, and I think that will only happen around next week too. I always find that Schools are an interesting choice to reopen. It feels like the children that age are the most likely to get it because they are the probably the most unlikely to follow social distancing and stuff. So it feels like there is a risk that they might take home the infection and give it to someone vulnerable.
Yea, I can imagine about the unpacking! You have a huuuuuge collection btw :)! In all my previous moves, it took a few months to be fully unpacked and completely assimilated on where everything is and so forth. Did you move all your furniture as well, or are you buying new ones? The shopping part for new stuff can be quiet fun :)!
Oh, I should have mentioned that although the celebrations are there, it is not always a holiday. In the case that it is not a public holiday, the celebrations usually happen in the evenings or if it is a feast mid-week, the parties usually happen on the weekends. The only times that there are public holidays are usually during Holy Week before Easter, and the Christmas octave. In Latin America, you get the whole week off for holy week. Here in Canada, we get Good Friday off. But, those are "penitential" days, so it is more of a somber mood and usually we fast. Unfortunately, when the party begins at Easter time, the holidays are over :D Some work places do give Easter Monday off, so one gets a chance to rest another day if they partied too hard on Easter Sunday haha.
Oooh nice! Both a pie and a cake! That must have been an amazing time! With the move to the new place and also the pandemic in progress, I am sure it must have been a memorable birthday in many ways! Plus, now you have a Table setup too :D Where is your home country btw? Do you get to visit there often?

MaakieHace 2 meses#77769295Hello! :) So was it one of the things in the latest update giving you the issues? Except for the huge font, nothing weird happened to me, but I read some things from other users having actual bugs when browsing the site. And well there was this unexpected downtime which I think lasted for 2 days (site has only been up again just now for me), but that was more general website/server issues I think. The owner never really updates us about the stuff that happens here. :(
For us not much has changed. We still work from home every day, try to keep it to a minimum to go to busy places, and in our free time we are setting up our stuff in the new apartment! :) Offices are still expected to be closed until mid-June at least, but the government is talking about trying to re-open schools so they can run for a few weeks (and do tests) before closing down for summer vacation.
I think barely any countries even have enough available police force if they would make such rules. And there are other loopholes in that idea as well, such as 'how much should 'safe' people get retested'?
I haven't heard the 50-day theory yet, but that is also hard! Because if someone would go outside for groceries the 50 days reset I assume.
Nah, you have seen the size of my collection on here, right? Unpacking is a many months process unfortunately. We are still busy with assembling our furniture right now, even though we work from home, we still spend a lot of hours every day 'at work', so things are not going that fast.
Oh wow, that is so many holidays! :O But they're fun and for a good reason of course. Catholics from my home country only celebrate Easter and Christmas on a few more specific days, I have no clue how it is in Finland.
It was fun! I baked a pie and a cake, and we played board games (quickly set up a table LOL) and watched movies. It's not as memorable as an outside-date as we normally would do, but we made sure to do something special. :) The cake was a traditional apple pie from my home country, of which I am never able to match the quality as my mom makes them, haha!

ddarkoHace 2 meses#77737951Helloooooooo! I finally got a hold of someone who can check, and my commenting issue has finally been fixed after two weeks!! It feels good to be able to comment again :)!
Hope you and your husband have been safe and in good health since your last post. Here in Canada, at least in the state of Ontario where I live, there are talks to reopen now. There are no dates mentioned yet, other than "very soon". Completely agree with you about the infeasible nature of enforcing only "safe" tested folks to work. If they actually enforce it with Police, I can see people getting a bit edgy over things becoming a "police State" and what not. If they do not do that, then there will obviously be those who are sick or have the disease heading outside. It really does feel like a tricky situation.
Yea, I have heard that the initial recommendation was to just quarantine for two weeks, and then one was considered safe even if they had originally been an asymptomatic carrier. I have heard some reports saying that it can remain contagious longer, even up to 50 days in some cases. The real difficulty now is wading through the hysteria to get to the truth too. Some of these reports can be over the top (borderline fear mongering) while there are others that try to underestimate the risk for the purpose of getting the economy open as soon as possible. Since the disease is new, there aren't exactly a large peer reviewed set of material to settle the matter too.
Have you unpacked everything at your new place :)? Maybe the Finnish are very prompt in doing so, but for us Canadians, it can take a few months to fully unpack everything haha. I can imagine that it must have been quiet worrying when the lock-down happened at the time you were doing the exchange of keys. You would have booked movers, possibly packed most of your stuff by then, and to have to wait till the lockdown is lifted would not have been fun for sure.

Yes haha, our Easter is a full octave. I don't know if I ever mentioned it, but our family is Catholic. So we have two feasts every year that span an octave, which are Christmas and Easter. The Easter octave is like the more special one because every day is what we call a "first class" feast. Catholics usually abstain from meat on Fridays. But, on the Easter octave (unlike in the Christmas one), the feasting continues and there is no abstinence on the Friday :D. Although the first class feasts end on the Octave day, the celebrations do continue for sometime after. In the case of Christmas for example, we have our Christmas tree, nativity set and other decorations up until February 2nd (we put them up around the 24th though). The Easter season goes until around mid June, but there are lots of other feasts in that period so it doesn't always feel like a "Easter" celebration. In one place that I lived sometime ago, the feast day of the patron saint of the Church in the town will be a big celebration. The entire town will be decorated, there will be processions, and after the feast day mass, a whole lot of of partying :D. That aspect is sadly not there where I live now.
How was the birthday celebration :)? I recall you mentioned last time that you were baking a cake. Do you go with a special theme for the cake? I am sure it must have been quiet fun, especially given that you guys just moved into a new place too. What better way to start off than with some birthday celebrations, even if it is just the two of you :)!

MaakieHace 2 meses#77596325Since our last message we got the news that our government is looking into cheap tests that could be send to home addresses to people in the heaviest hit areas first. On paper the idea of 'test and only go outside if you're safe', sounds good, but even if me and my husband turn out clean, I would still be a bit scared for not-allowed people going out anyways. If they don't go full police-checking like the stuff they do in Italy, it can be this fake-safe situation.
Hum, never heard about the virus dying with warmer weather, but yeah at first the news over here was that sick people would get better in 2 weeks and then could go outside again. That is also why they originally thought our quarantine would only be 2 weeks...because then if you would have been sick 'you would have gotten better now'. Turns out the virus doesn't work like that, huh? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Oh yeah that was to be expected I guess...a lot of exercise places have moved to offering classes online. Not sure if that is possible for you as well? As I just moved a week ago, I don't have any of my exercise equipment out right now, but I'm telling myself with the daily work of taking everything out of boxes and lifting a lot, I keep on being trained enough. :x
I was super nervous with the move, because it was like waiting to see if the movers were going to cancel in the last minute or not. :x Luckily everything went smoothly (except for the few broken/damaged items as with every move) and it was definitely an interesting time to be moving houses. We bought the house a pretty long time before lockdown, but the actual exchanging-the-keys-and-signing-moment was when lockdown just happened. Luckily we managed to had everything to work, by using more strict rules with keeping distance, million times sanitizing everything and so on and so on.
Oh! :O So a week long Easter? Never heard of that before, but sounds good! You also have all those days off from work? And hopefully you can at least have those nice meals with your at-home-family now. :)
For us, we have started planning the first couple of things for my husband his quarantine-birthday next week. It will probably involve baking a lot of things and grabbing the board games. :) Combine that with the new place we just moved into and this will also not be a birthday to easily forget, haha!
