Hello people!

So maybe some of you already know this, but HobbyHeart (link) is an online shop for dakimakura and bed sheet covers. So last week I placed an order for two dakimakura covers for 85$ total, that is 40x2 + 5 for registered airmail.

Here are the dakimakura covers that I ordered, warning that they are NSFW!

What do you think of my choice? :) The artist is Shintaro.

So here is the problem, I placed that order last Friday (april 5) it has been 6 days now, but the order is still on processing I did email them, but I have yet to receive an answer, 85$ was paid instantly when I placed my order.

Should I start worrying now? :( I don't understand what is the delay or at least they should have responded to my email.

Please share your experience with them! I had read a good review about their excellent printing quality before, so i kinda thought that they were a good place to order from, but now I'm kinda worried :(

I will update this article if anything changes with my order so you guys can know.

Edit: My order status went to delivered today on 14th April. Took them a while to ship it out :) will make a separate article about the actual items, so you can see the packaging and quality, thanks for the comments!

I ordered from them before, but they take forever to reply.. I also had similar experience, with replies from their customer service like several days later sometimes up to a week!

This is outrageous so I switched over to a better service.

MY friends and I bought a few from www.animedakima... which is only a tiny bit more expensive but offer much greater service and quality of dakimakura.

Still no change with my order as well as no reply to my email, will have to wait till Monday to know more probably :P I suspect that maybe the delay is not by the fact that they are made to order (because none responded to my email) but that they probably aren't getting that many orders and its not very efficient to call all the workers, start all the machines and all that once every few days for a single order, so maybe they stack up on orders for a week or two and then they do it in few days, that would make seance, but that's just my crazy thinking :D

Here is the review that I read who made me decide to order from them (ext link)
Quote from that link: ".. their print quality is still absolutely top notch and can easily rival official printed product!"

I went with the default option: peach skin, because I have zero knowledge with the materials :P will see how it is, then I will judge, maybe next time I will go for that velvet thing.

And yes I was well aware that they are a bootleg shop and I am perfectly fine with that :)

So these are good quality? Is it obvious in any way that it's a bootleg? I want to get a dakimakura for my boyfriend (that he's probably just going to sleep with and drool on). I found one on there that he likes, but he probably wouldn't if it's an obvious fake.

There are a bootleg shop...everything dakimakura they print is made to order and the original artist and copyright-holders earn no money on you buying this dakimakura.

Anyway, I heard some good stories about this store, so I think they are just slow, maybe you should write them an email soon?

Maybe for you next dakimakura you should consider a legit shop. ;) I see a lot of good dakimakura's popping up at Mandarake and such.

I've never had the courage to buy them, even though I own a few ecchi figures. I really do want to order one, but money is tight this month...

I ordered a custom dakimakura from them last year! No complaints at all. Back then they replied to my emails very quickly (within a day or so) so I'm not sure why they're experiencing a delay in their service. Probably within a week of paying, they shipped my order. Nothing but good experiences for me there, and the site is definitely legit(the products are reprints though of course). Try contacting them again if you don't hear anything soon?

kilanihace 7 años#1455094What is the velvet cover similar to? I've only had Polyester & 2-Way Tricot dakis. The 2-way was the softest I've ever felt.

It's imitation crush velvet. So if you've ever had any velvet clothing, it's that. Slightly stretchy material (which makes the pillows easier to get in, with a very plush furry coating.

Main benefit for me, is that the cats walking over it doesn't cause runs like it does in the "peach skin" satin like material. Plus it's ultra cuddly and warm. I adore my velvet Horo. And now going in to winter, I'm looking to get another, but can't decide what.

Asakohace 7 años#1455026They are bootlegs, but the store is real. They do print to order, instead of holding stock of thousands of covers. Also their velvet material is godly, and the best reason to go with them (though the velvet pillows are not great in summer, I alternate summer and winter covers).

Because it's print to order they'll take some time. Give about 8-10 business days before shipping. Although they are bootlegs they are very nice quality and a decent alternative for finding that dakimakura cover that has been sold out for 2-3 years and won't ever be printed again.
