There is an additional announcement in Japanese, that explains the current state of international shipment, from both the perspective of Japan and from the perspective of the recipient country (www.post.japanp... , PDF: www.post.japanp... ), but I can't be bothered to translate it in full, too long.
If you want to know the specific situation to your country, drop a comment stating the country you want the info and I'll translate it.

For example, regarding France, they state:
"Within Japan: Packages are subjected to delay in sending them from Japan towards France.
Within France: Until April 15th, there will be delays in delivering mail (Delivery deadlines may be extended). Procedures of mailman not delivering hand-to-hand are also conducted."

Also, note, for packages sent towards the USA:
EMS and Airmail packages already taken in charge by Japan Post will be shipped, but they will be sent by order of reception, and with the current volume of packages they already have at hands, just for EMS there's an estimated delivery period of upwards to 4 months.

Hope this'll help you keep informed, and stay strong everyone!

ARTICLE UPDATED, 23/04/2020:
* List of countries fully updated.
I created that list using the template from the Japan Post April 1st update that I used on my previous blog, hence I forgot to add the Japan Post April 9th updates (such as Australia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Brazil and Peru). All fixed now.
* Also added a blurb regarding DHL and FedEx at the beginning of the article.

Does anyone have experience with Air Parcel or EMS shipping to Germany with the current situation?

Trying to decide if I should go ahead and have my orders shipped, when currenty projected to move at the end of June.

Just letting anyone who is wondering about DHL shipping that lives in the USA. I have ordered two figures from AmiAmi in the last two weeks and they both arrived within three days of paying for them. One was an already released pre-owned figure that only cost a little more for DHL shipping compared to EMS. The other was a just released figure I had pre-ordered and DHL shipping was actually cheaper than EMS. I have always use EMS because it's insured and will again whenever they get everything back to 'normal' but for now it's DHL or nothing for me. I know that DHL usually costs more and this causes people to not want to use it but it has always been a faster ship method and this is why it costs more. You pay for the speed.

I had an order shipped from amiami on the 31st of march via sal, literally a week later they sent me an email stating sal isn't available for the UK anymore. I asked what would happen to this order and they said it would be sent back but still to this day it hasn't. I haven't a clue where the parcel is as it's unregistered :(

I have 5 packages stuck in collections at the moment (3 EMS and 2 Airmail) A few have been stuck since April 1st. So I can imagine the backup is crazy. As long as nothing gets lost I don't mind waiting as long as they need me to wait. The one thing that scares me is that not all tracking is being updated. My friend got a package yesterday that still says it's in collections.

This news is not new. It is clear that because of a pandemic, parcels are not sent, Japanese mail does not work.
Fortunately, I only ordered one Nendoroid, release at the end of August and that’s all. I am more specialized in the original Japanese signet. Here it’s a little disappointing that I can’t order it.

I can't stop commenting on this page lol

I just thought I'd share my good news. My EMS package which has been stuck in the initial Japanese post office since the 7th is now in the hands of my local post office. I seriously thought I wouldn't see it until summer. So for those of you with outstanding packages in transit, there's hope. Our babies will come home!

Is anyone else worried how all this may affect some of the places we are buying our figures/goods from? I'm sure all this is likely leading to less orders and possibly more cancelations. I hope none of them go bust. Kind of makes me worried to place orders on more figures lol.

This is great but not so good for people who are spending money and want their products in return

Hmm. I am I correct in reading that shipping to Germany via EMS or Airmail is still open?
