No, its not a cute anime babe, or even a high quality figure for that matter!

But I credit this figure to my ever growing interest into this hobby, One of my favorite video games is Dark Souls 3, and one day just out of curiosity I decided to research if there were any DS figures available...

scrolling through scattered pages throughout the inter-webs, I stumbled upon this website, lo and behold there was an organized list of every Dark Souls figure/where to buy/price listing/even used ones! So I credit this figure on the discovery of this figure collecting community!

I only had one nendoroid and two cheap Dragon Ball figures at the time, but never seen the bigger picture of this hobby yet. My Black Knight figure was the reason I started watching figure reviews and even got into the photography aspect of collecting! He was the inspiration to start a photography Vlog with my friend as well as wanting to do video reviews.

I guess I try to keep a mental note when buying figures; to make sure they hold some sort emotional value rather than just buying something you think looks cool at the time then getting burnt out.

What figure do you credit for your interest in this hobby!?

Heres the Review if your interested btw.

SolarstormflareHace 4 meses#76509629Nice! I've never played dark souls but it looks hard. For me, I found a picture of ITEM #93818 online from my favourite show, and decided I must have him, but it was impossible to find an authentic one until I stumbled across this site (nearly paid 200+ for a bootleg from China but luckily decided it was too expensive) and then everything followed from there. I think it helped that I loved collecting transformers figures previously, and had no idea such high quality stuff could exist!Kagamine_LenHace 4 meses#76510348Nice review, and I love that figure! The souls series has been great, I admit I did miss demon, but have played them all since.
When I was still in high school I got a few figures here and there, these two ITEM #26498 ITEM #26497 were my only to largeish purchases; I never really got into collecting as a hobby back then. It was a few years after that I really took the dive with ITEM #172745 and my collection just keeps on growing :)

Wow! That Miku is amazing, congrats!!!

Omg! I forgot there was a season 2 of blue exorcist. I would love a figure of Father Fujimoro!!!

ddarkoHace 4 meses#76509546The figure that got me into collecting is ironically one I do not even own. I accidentally came across ITEM #27734 when randomly browsing (many years ago), and though I had no idea about the character, I was really impressed at the level of articulation.
As a kid, I always found many of the figures I owned disappointing due to lack of articulation and lack of details. But when I saw that, it was like someone had made what I dreamt of having as a kid lol. Anyway, that got me digging, and I stumbled across Play Arts Kai, and got hooked on those (they were bigger, detailed, and seemed to have the articulation I wanted as well), and eventually to scale statues. It was only after few years of collecting that I ended up getting a revoltech, and I do love those. Sadly, the one that got me hooked is just too expensive now to get. I have a scale of Vash, although I don’t care much for the characters, just because of that probably lol.....

I found a vash figure ITEM #2235 at a local con and bought it for my friend as a birthday gift for him. Then I seen both the Kotobukiya Vash and Wolfwood at a gaming store but passed on them... Kinda kicking myself for not buying the Wolfwood... but one day i'll get them both!!!
