Amazon Removes Various Anime Figures Including Hatsune Miku

On YouTube
Clownfish TV
Lack Of Entertainment

I'm sure it's going to be about as effective as their policy regarding "Content related to campaigns, elections, or political issues of public debate", but whoever is making these decisions is completely out of touch...

Probably just one person decided to report these figures (probably with the reason that they have visible panties), so Amazon decided to 'take the right action' to stop the complaints instead of researching themselves.

I had something like that happen on a way smaller scale to me when I tried to sell a few of my swimsuit figures secondhand on a local website and one very aggressive person started messaging me and also reported me. He ended up getting what he wanted and my account got a strike and the listings removed...

ProbablyANinjaHace 5 meses#76301008This whole "crusade culture" isn't something that's going to go away if we keep letting it slide without repercussions. I think we as a community need to fight back to protect anime. The real question is... how?

The only thing I know similar to this is cbldf.org/ . It's more active in the USA comic scene rather than Japanese, but they have been brought up in earlier discussions regarding what is legal (or not) in doujinshi and manga and for people with questions about what they can import (or not).

yurikumasHace 5 meses#76289320There's literal child marriages happening around the world, but yes, take down some figures that's so gonna help the situation and the victims! Lmao. Absolutely ridiculous. I know this is coming from Australia with the shit that's recently gone down in their government over anime. It's so stupid. What's funny is places that ban loli material (UK, Australia) have farrrr higher sexual assault rates than Japan.
Australia has nothing to do with -America's- Amazon...they dont even ship to us. (We have our own amazon, but it sucks, and I dont even know anyone who uses it. I didnt even know people used it for figures because whenever I look at the site its crawling with bootlegs). That incident you're referring to was -one- idiot right-wing senator no one has even heard of who basically got laughed at, even the ratings board basically politely said he was an idiot. I dont know why the rest of the world have been twisting the incident into 'australia wants to ban anime'... i wasnt aware lone senators represented entire countries now.
I wouldnt be surprised if it was a troll mass-reporting effort that got taken seriously by someone at Amazon.

The most confusing thing about this is you can still by actual ecchi loli figures and NAKED LOLI DAKIS on Amazon. How is a SFW, fully clothed, non-sexualised figure of a character child abuse but actual loli figs aren't? Not even saying loli figs ARE abuse, but surely if sfw = abuse, then nsfw = DEFINITELY in these peoples minds?

This is a recurring problem recently.
www.youtube.com...

It has become too normalized to simply remove everything some "marginalized" group doesn't like.

I don't like loli, but these people need to stop barking up the wrong tree. How is this helping anyone? It's alarming to see that anime as a whole is under attack by people with extreme double standards.

This is insanely stupid. Why would they make such a random jump-the-gun assumption and just remove all of these figures? I haven't even SEEN an NSFW figure on Amazon, so I don't see why they did this. Most I've seen is Miku in a swimsuit. Anyways, they're fictional characters! You're better off buying a lewd figure of an anime girl than buying CP (which is illegal).
