Hi MFC.
This will be my first figure review, I'm going to try and go light on the comments and focus on a relatively small number of pictures. I hope you like it.

I'll be taking a look at the my first scale figure, as well as the figure that got me into figure collecting, Homura (Pyra in English) from Good Smile Company.

For anyone who doesn't know, Homura is a "Blade", essentially a living weapon, and one of the main characters from the video game Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (which is a fantastic JRPG that I can't recommend enough). When I saw her go up for preorder on AmiAmi I just couldn't resist blowing the tax return I had just received and am I ever glad I did. She is gorgeous (and currently much more expensive in the after market than what I paid for her).

Close up. I love the expression and colors.

The small details like the beading on her cloths really make this figure for me.

The blade itself is another eye captivating feature.

Side view. The long extended leg looks great, love the shine on the clothes

Back view

Other side view. You can see a seam in the hair a bit from this side but it's subtle

I was a little worried about the stability of the figure and potentially leaning over time, but having this extra support on the lifted foot, although a little unsightly, makes it very stable and after over 6 months displayed still looks as good as the day I unboxed her.

And she looks great beside her alter ego Hikari. The crossing of blades as each of them jumps away from the middle makes for a dynamic looking scene I just can't look away from.

Like I said this was the figure that got me into figure collecting. After receiving her and seeing just how good a scale figure can look I was hooked.

Thanks for taking the time to look. Please feel free to comment on anything. I'm still pretty new to MFC and taking pictures of my figures so feedback is appreciated.

UPDATE: I've also done a review/comparison with Hikari (ITEM #675897). Check it out!

SebastianLoverhace 2 años#67673173Figures are engineered much better these days. They even finally realized they should give us metal connectors instead of plastic.
Sometimes I contemplate getting this figure. It's definitely nice looking visually, but I'm not a fan of the whole cute warrior look.
I can understand that for sure, but for me I really enjoyed playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 so it's more about having some characters from the game. The fact that they look really nice is just icing on the cake.

CaptainZhace 2 años#67632358I wonder if they will bend and re release this?I know there are a number of people who want a rerelease, but if I can be selfish for a moment I have to say it adds to the enjoyment for me of having these figures knowing how rare/expensive they are.

galabluehace 2 años#67628521i agree, i love the beading on her front. i especially love her displayed with hikari's figure -- their bases match up so well and it really looks like they are in motion.I totally agree. Homura and Hikari are easily my best looking figures individually, and then they look even more amazing together. Best looking set of figures I've come across.
