Howdy doo, everyone! Time for another spiderific review! Today's review continues my recent string of First 4 Figures statues. Today we are taking a look at one of their biggest, priciest and heaviest products to date. Let's check out this amazing statue of the world's sneakiest special ops solider, Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid.

The box is stylized with a concrete theme to match the stone wall base. There are also some elements of falling snow. It's not as elaborate as the Crash or Spyro boxes in my last two reviews, but it is still very nice.

But wait! There's more! There is a second box that it comes packaged in. Prepare for total boxception

There are a total of three boxes with this package. There is the custom shipper, this box meant to be a reference to the box Snakes uses to hide in the games, and of course the main figure box shown before.

My human roommate has decided to use this box for cosplay purposes. It will also surely be useful on the battle field when the second civil war starts.

Now onto the statue! This piece depicts Snake sneaking behind a destroyed concrete wall with his gun at the ready. This statue is a big one. It measures 17.5" H x 15" W x 9.5" D

One nice thing about this statue is that it looks great at almost any angle. If you can get a turntable that can support its weight of roughly 50 lbs, it would make a killer display to rotate. Seriously though. This sucker is heavy. I would not reccomend trying to lift the whole thing fully assembled. Combined with the weight, the base can be a chore to get a grip on.

The base has a highly detailed and convincing stone texture. It has several bits of metal pipe sticking out along with some spots of snow scattered all around.

Snake himself is incredibly detailed. His suit is covered from head to toe with frabric weaves, speckles of dirt and wear from the battle field. I could go on about the details of each part, but I think these pictures speak for themselves.

Snake went through some major revisions after pre-orders opened. As a result, they decided to include both the original head design and the revised one. I prefer the revised head, the second pic, as it is more detailed. Everything from the texture of his skin, the grooves in his lips, the red lines in his eyes and his facial hair makes this face look highly realistic.

That covers everything you get in the regular edition. Now let's check out the extra features of the exclusive edition, which of course is exclusive to the F4F website.

The exclusive edition gives you two bonus features. The first is a rotating ammo crate. The crate is highly detailed with a corroded and worn metal texture.

The second feature is an additional head with LED goggles. They light up in two color modes: red for infrared and green for night vision. Be careful looking at it with the green light. It is super bright and almost blinded me.

Every statue comes with a card of authenticity and a serial number you can register on your account to receive the same numbered copy for the next statue on this line.

If you pre-ordered in day one and validated your order in the designated date, you can an exclusive card signed by Alex Davis, a holographic sticker and extra reward points.

There are two other versions of this statue: camo and neon green. If you ordered one of the combo editions, you also get these three pass cards. These are another prop reference to the games like the box my human still refuses to get out of.

This piece is huge and highly detailed. It is easily the most detailed product of theirs I have ever purchased. It is a must have for any Metal Gear Solid fan. But the price of this will set you back a bit. This beast cost $524.99 + shipping. although my wallet is now missing its kidney, I'd say I am happy with this purchase.

Thank you for taking the time to read this review. I hope it will help in you your decision to add this item to your collection. The next item on my agenda is Bandai's long awaited DragonBall FighterZ Android 21 prize figure.

But first I am going to take some time off. I am on vacation and will enjoy some time on the beach. Perhaps log in some long over due game time. I haven't even touched my PS4 in who knows how long. See you all next time! This is ChocolateSpider logging off!

Nice review! It's a beautiful piece even if I actually never played the game.

THC_alch3misthace 1 año#59489283Great review! Glad to see your shipper and boxes arrived in better condition than mine. FedEx really did a number on it and sliced through several layers. Hoping to set him up someday soon.

My shipper was pretty beaten up too. It has a huge chunk ripped open. But fortunately, the other two boxes shown here were not harmed.
