TyjosAzariIt's WonFes time again.
This year's WonFes surprised me and Takara has managed to get my attention this year with 2 new Primes for the Transformers line and since I follow a few Transformers sites on Twitter been getting updates on the new Transformers that are coming out this year from Takara and it looks to be a good year for Transformers.
WonFes reveals all the nice and usually expensive Transformer items coming this year and with ToyFair a week away there's a good chance the only things that will be on my mind this year will be Transformers since there is a lot of new Transformers coming that look neat.
With a new Armada Optimus Prime on the way most of the speculation I have seen about ITEM #806183 has been Optimus having the ability to go into his Super Mode where he combines with his Trailer since his cannon is the Super Mode Cannon and I'm assuming that his Trailer wasn't ready for WonFes but the figure looks cool to me and with an updated version of the Cybertron Leader Optimus coming this year I'm hoping they release more of the older series figures with updated features.
The surprise with Takara's Transformer line was Star Convoy he'll be part of the next line and he looks like he has a 2nd Chest Robot like the Power of the Primes ITEM #806181 leader class figures have and some speculation I've seen has been that it's probably a G1 Style Optimus Prime that plugs into it -possibly a remold of Orion Pax that came with the PotP Leader Class Prime so I am looking forward to this prime getting released this year.
The new Siege Jetfire looks awesome, I'm hopeful we'll see more of him at ToyFair along with Titan Class Omega Supreme as part of Hasbro's display setup.
Seeing GSC's Xenoblade Kos-Mos was a highlight of this WonFes to me ITEM #740131 Kos-Mos doesn't get a lot of new figures so I'm getting this one as soon as it goes up for pre-order and I'm looking forward to seeing this one painted.
I hope they'll release a T-Elos to go with her since I'd love to have another Kos-Mos and T-Elos set in the collection.
The Gundam Zeta Haman Karn ITEM #805405 figure was a nice surprise, I figured there would be a new Haman coming soon since they are releasing a new Aina and those two were originally released together in the old RAH DX line so I'm liking the look of the new Haman so this is an instant pre-order as soon as she goes up and another figure I'm looking forward to getting this year.
Haman will look great next to ITEM #750420
The only thing from the Fate series that got my interest was seeing Musashi's figma ITEM #780995 get her prototype and this is one that should look great when it's painted and with WonFes as usual being mostly Fate I didn't pay attention to the rest of the Fate figures since my main focus was on Transformers this time.
The only NSFW/Hentai series figure that got my attention was Futaba from Tentacle and Witches ITEM #800232 this is one I'm interested in and will probably either pre-order or get it after it comes out but I'm still not sure if I'll be collecting figure like this so it's one of those figures that is on the "Looks Interesting but not sure about it." list.
Checked some more things out and saw Mizuki ITEM #806364 getting a figure this year so I may look into that one too since it's another Taimanin series and I always liked the character designs from that series so that is a figure I may get depending on the price.
Overall I'm happy with how WonFes revealed some new Transformers and with it being stressful here it came at a good time to keep my mind off things for a while.
Had the wish list down to 4 items and only added 6 items so got through this WonFes without adding much to the wishlist so I think my Wallet is safe this year as long as I stick to Transformers.
There were a few repaints of Masterpiece Optimus Prime revealed ITEM #806291 ITEM #806290 ITEM #806287 and a Revoltech Optimus Prime Action Figure not really interested in those but it feels like I'm glad to focus just on the 2 new Primes and Jetfire.
The MP 2.0 Version of Bumblebee looks good too so may end up having to get that one this year ITEM #805966

This WonFes has me thinking about a lot of my favorite characters and I'm glad that this year a few of my old favorites are getting new figures so that makes it a pretty good WonFes to me.

So I had a very positive experience with this WonFes :D
I didn't even get a bingo, but companies put out a lot of cool things that fall into the "didn't know I needed" pile. Professor Oak with best starter? Yes please. 1/4 bunny girls of Madoka and Menma should be adorable (better keep it wholesome though). The Tanya bust looks neat, and Faye Valentine finally got a figure. The Ho-Oh and Lugia G.E.M should look cool, and yuri fans finally got a thing with Pulchra's Bloom Into You pair figure, so I'll have to watch that now.
I was excited to see KOS-MOS too! There were a bunch of gems this WonFes. Classic older series and some characters that don’t normally get a look in. Plus, nearly everything was nice.
I didn’t realise WF was such a big deal for Transformers fans, but this was a good read :) Always fun to hear others excited about the hobby.
With ToyFair only a week away my focus on this year's WonFes was what Takara was putting out and every year they manage to get me hooked or excited for something new. -Plus with what Takara's putting out I can expect a Hasbro Version to be either shown at ToyFair plus new updates for the next figures that are coming in the MP Line and Siege series.
This year we're getting a few new Optimus Prime figures so I was surprised to the point of being shocked seeing the new Armada Prime and the Star Convoy looks awesome.
Kos-Mos has remained one of my favorite characters over the years so whenever she gets a new figure it always gets my interest.

I only fear the aftermarket price of some of those because no way in the Seven Kingdoms I can manage all of this finacially.
Gotta get Merlin, Sakura and Brynhildr though. I am not willing to risk them.
Really excited about getting this gk ITEM #804291 (nsfw) as well, tons of good stuff this time.
