Yup. Looks like shenanigans indeed. I haven't seen that kind of thing exactly. Have come across accounts who bid on certain types or varieties of items offered by a seller but not others.

My experiences have been good with the Yahoo auctions. Just today I received my Megahouse Clare (Claymore) unopened which I only paid 7800 yen pre-shipping for. However, it never hurts to be careful.

I've come across up-bidders twice on Y!J and I rarely ever bid there. They then canceled the bid after they won, and the seller decided I was the winner. I was scammed pretty hard the first time. Didn't increase my bid the second time around (months later, unrelated item.)

    Be careful out there.

Yeah Bootleg just happened to me when I was hunting the Xmas present for my brother... Saw too late that the seller changed the auction title.... Don't understand why even Japan now sells Bootlegs...

I really hope I wont get the same trouble with bidders.. it's already hard enough to get Goods for resonable price, especially event or Preorder ones X_x

I agree with this! Now I feel pretty dumb because I've engaged in a few bid wars before and now I'm wondering if it was just the seller increasing the bid amount aha....orochimaruxsaber (Hace 11 meses) #27751234if that's true, that is pretty underhanded! never knew that kind of stuff happened on y!auctions

I believe they do happen (fake bids to increase the price) as I've seen a couple of suspicious re-listing. Doesn't bother me that much, since I always follow my max bid price and doesn't engage on a bid war. If the seller doesn't want to let go of the item at a low bid price, and is doing fake bids, nothing much can be done about that. And also not worth my time to think about it. Just look for another listing and move on.

    That's some dedicated up-bidding.

There was one time where I was bidding on an item, and after it had gotten pretty high, I didn't bother outbidding the person who was outbidding me. Then, the other bidder apparently didn't want to pay their final bid, and the seller wanted to know if I'd take the item for their final bid. I said no, 'cause it seemed like the other bidder was just raising the price with no intention of paying. The seller relisted it and I got it for a third of the price it was before.

Lilie (Hace 11 meses) #27749025If those tapestries are relisted tomorrow(or immediately) then it's most likely the seller bidding on his/her own listings.

I wouldn't think so because this seller has been selling the tapestries for a couple of weeks now, so he probably hasn't run out of stock (I'm hoping). still sad but eh
