CollectorCrazy (hace 1 año) #23392985Don't do thinner! It eats plastic! Yes, thinner slowly dissolves plastic but if you are careful and patient it works great for removing surface marks and decals. I use it all the time on nendoroids, like to removed tatoos I don't want on a custom character.

Yeah if the purple isn't a surface stain then something reacted to the plastic and changed it. : (

thanks for the update from GSC. too bad tho...

Lehst (hace 1 año) #23342015is there no chance someone else was in the room, or moved the face and had an accident? o.0
Have ypu tried rubbing alcohol? it isn't very strong but who knows, since we don't even know what the purple splatter is.
The only idea I have is the one I tell everyone... when nothing else works try a Q-tip dipped in laquer thinner. If the thinner has any effect it should lift right away. Technically the thinner is also lifting the plastic a little, so rinse, dry, and repeat. The thinner evaporates quickly but I do it at the sink just in case. Don't let any touch the eyes! Hold the part so any excess that might seep off the swab will flow away from the eyes. (also, thinner is strong so it can only be poured into a glass or metal cup/container.)
Nope, nobody goes in my room but me. And I shut my door so my pets can't get in there if I'm not watching them

I tried nail polish remover which melted the plastic a little so i stopped, it didn't even take the purple out lol

CollectorCrazy (hace 1 año) #23392985Don't do thinner! It eats plastic! Believe me I used something similar once on a much more expensive figure, learned the hard way. In all seriousness it's likely oxidation, the plastic is reacting to the sunlight and the oils from it are "sweating" out. Like a car's dashboard cracking. Though I have never seen purple oxidation, but I've seen the opposite - purple turning into yellow.I was thinking it could have been something like oxidation but I didn't think it could do something like create purple speckles!

    LeviathanX (hace 1 año) #23326143Your figure clearly has Androphobia ... \(º □ º l|l)/But I didn't do anything to her? :(
Must have been the previous owner who made her androphobic x-x

WanderingWastrel (hace 1 año) #23326470Glitter fairies. They fly around at night, seeking their prey. The purple is their warning -- they like the prey to run, as they thrill in the excitement of the hunt. Tonight... I'm so sorry, but tonight is your turn. If you make it to morning, they'll let you go.
Run fast, run far. Remember... they have wings.
