I organize my figures by size. In my case, I was able to maximize my available space by moving a mean gang of chibis to their own display area. This made more room for scales in my other cabinet.

I have to go by the set! Otherwise the size and style differences from figure to figure would get on my nerves. But in the end, it's whatever floats your boat! :P

I have mine organized by series, because I collect posable figures and I like to pose them to 'interact' with each other. It makes more sense for them to be posed together with figures from the same universe. I do occasionally swap them around though.

I have essentially the same issue - my Tales shrine is slowly growing and I want to keep all the Tales items together but at the same time I want to start up a separate shrine for Guy from Tales of the Abyss as well as Edna from Tales of Zestiria away from the rest of the Tales stuff. My OCD smacks me in the face saying "NO THAT'S TOO FAR FROM ALL THE OTHER MERCH" so I have no choice but to restrain myself from buying shrine items to begin with :(

I tend to go with whatever looks best. I have some figures displayed together because they're a set (then again, I own very few sets so that helps), but others are placed together depending on looks. These can be scale, colours, or overall 'style' of the figure. I generally own too few figures of a certain character/series to display them together, and when I do they look drastically different in size/colour so it's better to display them separately.

I organize my series. If I only have one or two from a few series, then I go buy scale or what looks looks together. :)

First I would organize them based on type (nendos, petites, etc.), then by series, and then by character groups, like these 2 or 3 belong together. For my lovelives, I only have nendos so I'd skip that first step, then I'd sort them between training vers and stage vers, then by 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students. If I get a lot of merch of 1 character, I'll consider building a shrine, but that wouldn't be for quite some time.

I only have one complete set of trading figures, and I display those together. However, I'm also collecting a bunch of merch of one of the characters in that set. I don't have a real "shrine" set up (nor the space for one) so my solution is I occasionally put all my merch of him together, take a picture, and then return the trading figure to his place with the rest of the set.

If I ever did have the space for a shrine, maybe I'd display the full set close by the shrine, just to keep things from the same series together -u-

I basically put all the figures from a series together, and then arrange those by characters. The exception is my maid section, so any maid figures go there, even if I'm displaying a character from the series in another section (ex. one of my Sonico nendoroids is with my Sonico display, but the one with her maid outfit is in my maid section).

I kind of try to keep like characters / types / shows together, but mostly I just shove everything wherever it fits!
