Surprise Christmas HaulSurprise Christmas Haul

Kimm134SayaKimm134Sayahace 2 añosLoot
Demons for Christmas!

How was everybody's Christmas? I hope you had fun with your friends and family. Less importantly, I hope you got some amazing gifts. :)

This post is about my last gift for myself this year. Last November, I had two packages sent from Japan. As per my last checking, it was dispatched to my country on November 23, but it had been almost one month, and the packages were yet to arrive. But, just in time for Christmas, I was notified that the two boxes finally came on December 23! What a surprise! The first box weighed almost 19kg, and the second at a little over 5kg. Despite the substantial weight, I was not charged with any customs dues! I don't know why as this has never happened before, but I sure am thankful!

That's it for my backstory. On to the haul itself. After taking everything out of the box, and carefully stacking them up, this is how my Christmas haul looks like:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/Kimm134Saya1451189213.jpeg

Isn't that a beauty?

Let's start with the item which sticks out like a sore thumb (at least, in my perspective): Alter's Haruka Nanase (ITEM #166705).

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451189249.jpeg

I actually have no idea about the anime, Free!, nor have I read anything about the character. However, when I saw this figure, I knew to myself I just had to have him. What can I say, he's one masterpiece of a simple yet overly beautiful figure. The sculpt is topnotch. Moreover, what really dragged me into buying him is his feet. I personally have an inclination to beautiful feet, and his are definitely at the chair of the aesthetic department. My only problem is I don't know how I'm even supposed to display him because I'm a man who just so happens to love his feet. His being half-naked is an issue. Nonetheless, one of the most gorgeous figures in my collection.

One of the bigger boxes in this haul is the Japanese limited edition duel disk from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5DS (ITEM #102999).

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451187915.jpeg

It comes with an official calculator and some promotional cards. Even though it's a grail for Yu-Gi-Oh! fans, I've already passed it over. It's actually my sister's gift to her boyfriend. Needless to say, he was ecstatic when he got it (only virtually because he's in the UK right now). Yeah, my sister knows how to please her man.

Now, if you've been reading all my previous posts, or some of them, you'll know that my priority is collecting Shin Megami Tensei items. This loot is no exception. In fact, I haven't been this excited about my haul in some time now.

To start, have a look at the dynamically posed figure of Raidou Kuzunoha (ITEM #133963) by MegaHouse.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451189180.jpeg

I've been meaning to get this for a long time now, but I can't see him at reasonable prices until now. This figure is huge, especially with the cape on. I was meaning to display him back-to-back with my Demifiend figure, but the former is just too big. Demifiend looks like a child beside Raidou. His box is also very space-consuming, so that was also a reason why my items were split into two boxes. Oh well, that's one more item checked out of my wishlist!

Then there's MegaHouse's Io Nitta (ITEM #153051). It's a very plain figure, but if you've played or watched Devil Survivor 2, you might have developed a crush on her. I know I did; thus, it's a no-brainer getting her. That plus the fact that there's just three existing DeSu2 figures. Now, I can inspect how gravity seems to be absent around her mammary glands...

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451188856.jpeg

I run an online shop which mainly offers SMT products (m.facebook.com/...), so some of the items here are actually orders placed by my clients. One of those is this Evoker water gun (ITEM #159533) by Sunny Side Up. For Persona 3 fans, this is a holy grail, and I'm more than delighted to help them build up their collections. :)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451188399.jpeg

Another item which was ordered is this Thanatos D-Arts figure (ITEM #86378) by Bandai. I personally think this is the best figure out of the short-lived D-Arts line. It comes with all of his accessories which makes posing him a lot of fun.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451188523.jpeg

I didn't expect to find this, but I was also able to buy for myself this Thanatos model kit (ITEM #26848) by Rampage Ghost. When I compared it with the D-Arts figure, it doesn't really have a lot to offer. If anyone is interested in getting a figure of him, I suggest you just go for the Bandai one. I understand it's because this was released earlier, and that it's a model kit. Then again, I have no idea how to make model kits, so I might be in for some trouble.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451188326.jpeg

Another Satan figure (ITEM #146129) by FuRyu is also included in this haul. This is my sixth figure of the Prince of Darkness, and the fifth which arrived with broken parts. Because it's Christmas, I gifted it to my brother. :)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451188280.jpeg

I bought two boxes of SMT cards. Each box contains 180 cards; thus, earning me 360 cards in total. Sadly, there are only a few cards which feature demons. Most are item and other support cards.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451187715.jpeg

A few months back, I sold a complete set of the Taito prize figures from the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax game because I needed money, and I prefer having boxed figures. I've been slowly trying to reclaim those ten figures into my collection, and I'm already at four out of ten with these Naoto Shirogane (ITEM #131134) and Kanji Tatsumi (ITEM #131136) figures. People say Naoto is the rarest and most expensive out of the set, so I'm glad I already got her. Six to go!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451188817.jpeg

These two copies of Sega's Rise Kujikawa figure (ITEM #287797) in her Dancing All Night outfit also came. Despite being a prize figure, she certainly looks better than the official photos released. If anyone's hesitant on buying her, drop all doubts now. She's pretty cheap, so why not?

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451188224.jpeg

This Chie Satonaka figure (ITEM #314672) in Gekkoukan High uniform is also by Sega. It's a plain figure. There's nothing much to say about it.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451188172.jpeg

One client also asked me to find for her these chibi figures by Taito. This is the first volume of the set including Yu Narukami (ITEM #111857), Yosuke Hanamura (ITEM #111856), Chie Satonaka (ITEM #111859), and Yukiko Amagi (ITEM #111855). They're shockingly more pricey than I thought even though they're just chibi figures. Maybe that's one reason why I'm not a fan of chibis. You just don't get much bang for your buck.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451188074.jpeg

Here are rubber straps by Sunny Side Up for the second Persona 3 movie. The set includes the protagonist (ITEM #213637), Chidori (ITEM #213636), Aegis (ITEM #213196), Koromaru (ITEM #213200), Ken (ITEM #213365), Shinji (ITEM #213362), Takaya (ITEM #213497), and Jin (ITEM #213496). They're pretty big for rubber straps, though.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451188007.jpeg

Finally, the last of the Persona items are these artbooks. These are official fan books by Famitsu for Persona 3 (ITEM #382449), Persona 3 FES (ITEM #77204), and Persona 3 Portable (ITEM #77203).

What emphasized this haul to feel like a Christmas gift to myself are these blind boxes of Kotobukiya's one coin figures. These are figures which I am desperately trying to complete. I got a box of the Pixie set. That's 12 blind boxes. I also got the complete 7-figure King Frost set. Lastly, I got a box of the best of/Jack Frost and Jack Lantern set. That's another 12 boxes plus 3 extras for a total of 15. Opening these blind boxes is like opening a gift. You just don't know what's inside. You can only guess. Unlike the other items in this haul, I'm still uncertain on what these boxes contain.

I have already complete the Pixie set before, but this box was sold as a set with the other box. Anyway, I got 2 Barong (ITEM #33068), 1 Odin (ITEM #41416), 2 Pascal (ITEM #41418), 2 Pixie (ITEM #41417), 2 Lakshmi (ITEM #33069), 1 Thor (ITEM #41419), and 2 Astaroth (ITEM #41415).

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451189034.jpeg

For the King Frost set, I recently bought some blind boxes from a local seller, so some here would be duplicates. The set includes King Frost (ITEM #7937), Parvati (ITEM #7938), Raphael (ITEM #17015), Cerberus (ITEM #41407), Lamia (ITEM #7940), Hanuman (ITEM #41408), and Yoshitsune (ITEM #7939).

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451188988.jpeg

My inner kid was leaping wildly for the last box because this is the only set in which I have none of the figures yet. Fifteen blind boxes to get eight figures. Here we go! The tally is 3 Mary (ITEM #9304), 1 Jack Frost and Jack Lantern (ITEM #7936), 1 Ganesha (ITEM #7945), 2 Masakado (ITEM #41404), 2 Nekomata (ITEM #17257), 3 Lucifer (ITEM #41402), and 3 Cu Chulainn (ITEM #7943)... Wait, just seven? That means no Lilim! How is this even possible! She's supposed to be one of the easier ones to get. Sigh... I guess I'll just have to look for an individual copy of her.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451189116.jpeg

That's a lot of duplicates! Add that to my already existing duplicates, and that's too many. They go directly to my shop. And since it's Christmas, I decided to do a giveaway contest to some of my groups on Facebook. It's always better to give, especially when this year has been particularly good to me (case in point: figure collecting).

That's everything for my regular Shin Megami Tensei haul. Now, on to other items!

If it isn't our favorite baldhead, Saitama! Better known as One Punch-Man! Here are volumes 1 to 9 of the manga (ITEM #135139 ITEM #135140 ITEM #150892 ITEM #167738 ITEM #189173 ITEM #213644 ITEM #293616 ITEM #298013 ITEM #322966). When I opened the package, these were topmost of the stack. It's so exciting to hold some OPM merch as there aren't many out there... yet. Unfortunately, this set was just ordered by another person. As of the posting of this blog, I have already parted ways with those manga... What a sad day.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451190072.jpeg

Well, I've already moved on. So let's move on to the next item: the glorious Valkyrie Profile Material Collection (ITEM #45153)! This hefty art collection has two books inside which feature character art, game analysis, and other information. Despite already owning the even bigger VP Material Collection, this one will fit perfectly in my almost complete VP collection.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451187874.jpeg

Next are these Taito prize figures of Akiho Senomiya (ITEM #122882) and Frau Koujiro (ITEM #122881) from Robotics. I have no clue on these two. I'm not familiar with the anime either. I just bought Akiho because I'm planning to customize her to look like the female protagonist in Persona 3 Portable, just as what I've seen in Fandramon's and Alphakitty's blog. The two were sold as a set, so I got Koujiro as well.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451187779.jpeg

This Kaiyodo Gunbuster model kit (ITEM #382455) came with the Thanatos model kit. The same goes with the Big Volfogg (ITEM #382451) by Kotobukiya.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451187484.jpeg

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451187425.jpeg

Finally, the last items from this haul are these assorted Pokemon trading figures. These are too many to tag, and some are not even in the database.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451186682.jpeg

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451186688.jpeg

Here are soft vinyl Pokemon finger puppets.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451186686.jpeg

And these are random Kirby, Yokai Watch, and Masked Rider items which came with the Pokemon stuff.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/thumbnails/Kimm134Saya1451186684.jpeg

With everything I got here, I can say that I'm a very happy boy last Christmas, a 21-year old boy. I hope everyone got something they want for Christmas as well. If you didn't, then I wish something made you happy, material or not. Most importantly, I wish everyone spread the love during this season. Give some figures, help others finding their items. Whatever floats your boat, make sure it's not just you who's happy.

Even though I'm greatly fascinated with demons, I'm still someone who believes in the awesome wonders of Christmas.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Kimm134Saya (hace 2 años) #5849263Oh man, that is quite a dilemma. I personally suggest not importing it anymore. I don't think it's worth the risk of being arrested.

Yeah I don't want to get in some sort of trouble or get huge fines or whatever for importing replica guns...but I'm just so afraid that if I message them asking about it I will be put on a blacklist and for sure never own them. D:

Oh well, I guess I will one day just give a call or email to my local costums and see what they say (but not anytime soon as 3 of my packages are stuck in costums right now and maybe my message will trigger them tearing my boxex open to check if an item like that is in there xD ).

Maakie (hace 2 años) #5849093Actually, it's on the edge of yes and no.
Here in the Netherlands it's illegal to show in public and sell fake weapons that don't show they are fake. (Most of them get a forced painted on orange part or get extra plastic attached to the end of the loop.) The stupid thing is if you own a good replica that doesn't have anything to show it's fake, it's okay to own as long as you keep it inside your house. ^^''
So importing would be illegal and owning and displaying would be legal. But if I were to walk outside with a fake gun like yours in this blog, I could get arrested. :P This is why importing such an item is in the deep dark gray legality zone and could get me into trouble. :(

Kimm134Saya (hace 2 años) #5848424I guess it all boils down to how much you want the item. It might be risky, but you know you're not doing anything illegal.

Maakie (hace 2 años) #5848088But I'm too afraid to send my local customs pictures of the items, because they would probably say it's not allowed, to be followed by me getting on a special blacklist to make sure I never buy them. Kimm134Saya (hace 2 años) #5846829I've ordered two of it already from Japan, and they did go through customs. However, I don't think the packages they were in were inspected by customs individually, so I believe they didn't see that an item looked like a gun. I guess it's just luck. Some of the packages here were opened by customs, though.

Thanks for the reply! Here if costums open them is also a gamble. I have noticed packages with either very high or very low value to get opened.

I guess it would be the best if I were to buy them to make a huge proxy-order and combine and then hope there are no metal parts so it doesn't show up on any scanner. >.< But I could get in huge shit + a lot of costs if I were caught. :(

Maakie (hace 2 años) #5846541Maybe a bit of a stupid and off-topic question, but about ITEM #159533 , how did you go with importing it? You ordered it directly from Japan so it went through your customs right? I've ordered two of it already from Japan, and they did go through customs. I have a few holy grail items from a series I dearly love, but they are all replica guns. Even though they can't fire any bullet, they look very real and have the size of a real gun (nothing to indicate they are toys/replica's).

According to my local costums I have to let them know before buying I want them and send them auction/page links...but knowing my costums they will take weeks before replying and then the auction will be long gone :( I'm afraid I can never own these items.

Seiidaishougun (hace 2 años) #5729348That dancing Rise is really nice, but why did you get two of her?
The seller didn't want to split the pair, so I had to get two. I got them at the price of one. :)

Knight-Hart (hace 2 años) #5706720Man, I just love Naoto. I wish that I could get my hands on her prize figure. She's the kind of character that, whenever I for some reason re-visit the Persona 4 franchise, I love her all over again. She's so adorable, and clever, and super cute! Gosh, I sooo wish she'd gotten a real, scaled figure.
There's a scaled prize figure, but she's as tall as Yu, and her skin's too yellow. ITEM #124248
