Kaoh (hace 7 días) #2089606With things in their arms they are top heavy, and sometimes 4mm joint won't be able to cope with weight. It won't broke but it can become flimsy. That's not really a problem with like 14 of them in the set.

But if you turn it around or change it just for the purpose of maintaining it, wouldn't it make the joint more prone to being loose?

Haha, i thought you said you have 14 skellies but when i read again, you meant 14 such joints in the same skelly

Kaoh (hace 8 días) #2088208I think so. People say both of them require you to change (or turn around) a waist joint from time to time and that every skelly has a somewhat different expression because of shading/painting.

Thanks for the info.
Why is the need to change/turn around the waist joint? To maintain the figure from breakage?
Yes, every skelly is unique (i read) because each one is given a gray wash.

Kaoh (hace 9 días) #2087268has nicer shields and also is near impossible to find.

I just did some research. You are right, the shields of the 1st version are different from those of the 2nd version. I am not sure if they are nicer though.
Other than that, I don't think there are other differences?

The shields? I thought both have the same stickers? There are 2 stickers right?
Any chance you could elaborate on the differences?

Folks, I am considering to buy this but are there any differences between the first release and the 2nd one?
It seems that the 2nd version (re-release) has coloring problem?

Just got this figure, I'm very disappointed. I haven't taken it out of the box, but the paint on it is completely different from the promo shot and even photos I've seen of it in the wild (on MFC, reviews, 4chan). The problem is, the whole figure is really, really gray. I'd even go as far to say it's basically dark gray colored, like it it's been burned to hell or it just crawled out a fire. The promo and also most non promo-shots show a bone white figure with gray highlights, or weathering. Great, too bad the figure itself, this 2013 re-release at least, looks nothing like it. Is it just the lighting in photos that makes it look different perhaps? Flash? Or is the 2013 re-release just much worse painted than the original two?

Not sure if I can complain to Kaiyodo, or if I should try selling them (I bought two) or if I should attempt to remove the paint on it and re-paint it myself whenever I get myself an airbrush. Or just get over it. Overall a huge disappointment.
